There's really no excuse for it, considering how much money they're getting from the Saudi government. The line-up got leaked early which is probably the reason they felt the need to rush this trailer out. Honestly this whole game has had a lot of controversy surrounding it so I'm glad I skipped this one. Ya'll can see me in Garou instead.

Also, I don't want this thread to spark the whole AI debate again, but I do still think it's important to call it out when big companies abuse it. We don't need to devolve into name-calling like similar threads have.

I agree it feels lazy/tacky when big companies like this use AI. Pretty lame, and I'm a pro AI guy. But then again I'm not mad at arc raiders for using AI. Bleh.

I know right? Coulda just tossed Shinkiro a couple bucks to draw them a few stills. Probably would have cost less than whatever it was to run the AI servers.

Like I said, my theory is they threw this together quickly to try and get ahead of the leaks, but with how much damage this is going to do to their reputation I doubt it was worth it.

SNK been disappointing for a long time now,at least in my opinion.

Nevertheless i find it ironic,considering that,for me,one of the biggest draws of their games was their beautiful art and attention to detail within it

The devs over at SNK still do great work, it's the management that's the issue. I played a lot of KoF 14&15 and had a great time. The Saudi ownership seems to have taken greater control for CotW.

I mean, it was likely some marketing person that made the decision to use AI and not something the company as a whole came up with. Decisions like that are usually made by specific departments in those companies and whoever approved it probably didn't know or just didn't care that ai had been used.

Definitely makes the production look extremely lazy and underfunded.

Not surprising in the least, the last good SNK game was The King of Fighters XIII and it was so expensive to make that it nearly bankrupted the company, so I totally expect them to save money anytime they can now, even if that lowers the quality of their games.

I saw that bullshit on Max's stream the RE9 showcase. WTF? Saudi Arabia ownership can fuck off. They've been getting in the way with a lot of things I like. This is just another reminder for me to get this game used. For $20 or less.
