Smartphone Emulation Or PC Emulation

What controllers are you using where this happens? I've used an old Logitech controller, ps3, ps4, Xbox, 8bitdo, and cheap Chinese generic android controllers and there is exactly zero difference between using them on my phone and using them on a computer. They use the exact same connection protocol on a PC as they do on android so it makes no sense for it to lag on android and not PC.

Well, I never use Bluetooth to connect my controller to PC either.

I use both. Always hated the smartphone but I finally installed LineageOS, then F-Droid, then Retroarch, and then Syncthing to synchronise my save files.

MelonDS is a perfect fit, Front Mission, Professor Layton, 999, that kind of stuff.

Speaking of android, should I emulate games on my Game tv stick (it has lots of preinstalled roms in a sd card and I was able to download emulators such as snes9x) or should I still emulate them on my PC?
The choice, is yours.

The only thing i could play on my phone was pokemon and fire emblem. Any other game felt really clunky with touch controls. Tried a controller for phones (i think it was one from saitake) and felt really clunky and stopped working after an update. Soo i dont do emulation on my phone this days, changed to an iphone and the only game i have on that is Vampire Survivors :3

I ended buying a miyoo mini for portable games from the PS1 and before. And then all the other i just do it on my Desktop or a Thinkpad t480 i have set up as Batocera station :3

Which one do you think is the best way to play emulation games
I think that turn based RPGs, turn based tactical games are better for that.

I played a bit of SMT SNES on mobile.

I still managed to play the Sonic Remasters on mobile because the action buttons aren't limited to the actual visible buttons you see on screen thankfully (and it's basically the d-pad + one big button).

I've played Metal Slug 1 and 3 on mobile but to be honest it wasn't as pleasant (I still played PPSSPP's Metal Slug Antology + Metal Slug XX for fun).

A gamepad makes it much more bearable despite the input lag.

None of them, real console with CRT TV for old games. Emulation for me is not ideal.

PC will always be the best. But if you have telescopic controller then mobile emulation is very good too especially for some genres (visual novels, touch based DS/3DS games etc.).

I dont know about telescopic controllers, but there are very cheap plastic straps to put around XBOX or DS4 controllers and clip your phone. I love my Dual Shock, cant do without.

pc is the best more power faster and no problem if you need to speed up the gamee to faster getting through a dungeon
pc either use a big screen or connect it to a big tv

any mobile i have used always have problem playing ps vita games and ps3 games
and the touch screen is the worst

but playing nds or nds3 games on mobile that need touch screen is heaven

on pc i use
a old microsoft xbox controller wierless that old controller i can play on any windows and even linux
but my new microsoft xbox controll always have problem with some games on linux an windows 10 11

the best controller i have that work on any game and all version of windows linux and even switch is 8bitdo
never have a problem with 8bitdo controller

Eh :/ It's mixed for me since they both have their advantages and disadvantages ~
Smartphones make most emulators that were meant to be connected to a TV become portable
But then if you have a powerful PC to play console games from more recent generations (and need a quick copy and paste of codes when needed from a browser then) ... yeah !
