Slowed down songs

Some songs I truly think were designed to be listened to both at regular speed AND slowed down. A great example of this is from a few Michael Jackson songs like, Earth Song slowed to 8:27, Off The Wall Slowed to 6:18, and Thriller slowed to 7:50. To me these songs in particular give you a COMPLETLY different listening experience in a way that doesn't sound to artificial.
What do you think of slowed songs? and what are some other songs that sound as good or better slowed?

I'm not a huge fan of slowed down music, but I must admit sometimes its good.
 
I think the slowed and sped up thing is a fad that’ll most likely go soon ( sorta how Nightcore did ) but it’s not *terrible*, at the very least it popularises indie artists and old bands on the occasion.

I think it’s best when used in production of a song rather as the whole song, like a Hi-C track.
 
I know this is about slowed music, but it's also about MJ. I recommend listening to this song, but at 1.25x sped up.

If slowed as in different arrangement i like it, if it's just artificially slowed or sped up it's not my thing.
 
I tried listening to Thriller at that speed but it just wasn't for me. I love that track and hearing it in this manner just made me wanna crank the speed back up. It felt like I downed a whole bottle of NyQuil and stand around like a zombie. That song is suppose to make you wanna MOVE!

But as others have mentioned, to each their own, and I guess if thats how the younger generation get exposed to the classics then so be it. But if you wanna hear a natural slow track from MJ, I recommend listening to Human Nature or Man in the Mirror.
 
I like the original's whimsical feel, but the slowed version was built for ascension. Hope this doesn't get taken down like the rest :/
 
I don't normally like it when speed is fucked around with for an entire song, especially sped up, but a friend sent me this version of Little Dark Age and I dig it.


This one is kinda famous, but it's amazing how well it works. I remember the composer of Dredd, Paul Leonard-Morgan, was inspired by it for the scenes with Slo-Mo in the film. Good shit and a great film with an excellent soundtrack.

For me it definitely depends on the song, my first introduction to slowing songs down was with my record player, I was listening to a 45rpm record of Strawberry Wine by Deana Carter and forgot to change the speed from 33.5. I guess I was kind of hooked into fucking around with songs from there because every time I buy a new 45 record, I always have to see what it sounds like at 33.5.... most of them sound like shit but every once in a while I come across a banger.
