I'm yet to play Spikeout, I heard it's a really good game, Slashout is not bad but it does drag, it suffers from the same issue as most Konami beat em ups from the 90s, it drags on with lack of variety of enemies, this game has the potential to be awesome and it starts off quite promising but after two hours of play time you just want it to be over already. This just seems like spikeout, though?

Rare game and rare female character design that you won't see in modern game nowadays.
I agree.Wished this had a Sega Dreamcast port back in the day, i wonder why they didn't bother?
Spikeout is a Sega Model 3 arcade though so porting that to the Dreamcast would've been more work, is also why I never had the chance to play it.SpikeOut didn't get a port either. I remember hearing there was one planned at some point, not sure what happened. Solid games, but too long for arcade beat-'em-ups. I think SpikeOut is better because it's hand-to-hand combat, so you have more move possibilities.
It's grindy as hell. Spikeout gets straight to real beatemup gameplay. Slashout feels like a button masher, even though it has some depth if you have the patience. This just seems like spikeout, though?
