So I pulled this song from stepmania 3.9 and can't find were its from. Thats fine with me, I wanna know if yall know any similar songs or what genre it could be?

Well, I mostly know his work from the Streets of Rage games. I'm pretty sure he's worked on some of the Ys games.
But this has probably nothing to do with him. Aren't the StepMania songs taken from free license, CC, etc. sources?

It totally has nothing to do with him, even if they did source the music from official means it would be from Konami. But yeah pretty sure youre right about it being taken from copyright free sources, although it might be different since this is a older version from 2005.

Yeah sounds like famous Japanese artists like Taylor Swift and Blink-182, I think those guys are super similar.

They’re literally my favorite acid jazz bands!!! Its so y2k and stuff, really retro.
