I watched a video earlier and then the ad came on. Man, I had absolutely no idea that Silent Hill 2 was coming to theaters. Well, it looks very promising.

Trying to go in with a open mind with this one, which is hard to do when i'm a SH Boomer, BUT at least i'm not absolutely hating what I saw from that trailer.

Same feels. I could enjoy the first silent hill movie even if it also changed a lot of stuff, and had some neat stuff of it's own. It is clear this one will be like that, just with adapting Silent Hill 2, and the neat just has to out weight the cringe.

Absolutely,
It's kind of how i reflect and treat SH2 Remake & I love that remake btw, this is coming from someone who obsesses over the OG PS2 Game. I see it as an additional/alternate way to enjoy the game. If i feel like either or, both are at my dispoal with respective strengths and weaknesses.
Comparison? RE2 to RE2 Remake, both great games in their own right, offer different things. happy to enjoy both whenever.

I am interested enough to maybe see this at the theatre, It is A version/take on SH2 regardless.
If i were to go in with the mindset of 'Oh the actor doesn't look 100% like James from the game' or 'oh Maria's tattoo is in the wrong place' 'Pyramid Head's head looks off'
I think its pretty closed minded to expect that level of perfection into live action. again view it as an alternative piece.

I wouldn't recommend it based on what we have discussed in the past Lod, There is quite a bit of sensitive subject matter in which out of respect to you, will not state.

BomWell, firstly, I'm very sensitive to movies and loud noises, which is why I have issues with them; I seek shelter.The noise from horror movies... horror movies aren't my favorite genre.

If they do not dodge from the worst implied things from the story of the game, it will not be easy. Worst is the story makes you imagine it, without showing much.
