should i get an Xbox One now?

do you think could be a valid purchase now? are the phisical games still easy to find?

my last real console was a 360, and after that i jumped into pc and mainly retrogaming

If you don't care about newer games, the original One will run titles just fine. 100 euros is pretty good price for what you get, these consoles can go a bit higher

Price is good, but xbone was never jailbroken
Buying physical games would be pretty expensive
So personally i don't recommend that console, unless you just want to play few games

You find alot online shops or local shop selling lots used xbox one games very cheap.
Gears 4, gears collection , halo 4, halo master chief collection, horizons etc etc

Just first dont ever go online first if the disk games works just fine.
If they detect you are just connected online, they capture you and forced yoi to update the xbox and if dont update than they locked your xbox and cant start, thus is useless.
And why shouldnt update is because with every update, they need you to update ALL the games/apps installed and overload the hdd full with xxxGB to each game that can corrupt the hdd and you need replace/format the whole damned hdd.
Google xbox one hdd gbatemp etc.

Doesn't the Xbox One support "developer mode" for installing emulators and playing retro games? I believe Dev Mode is officially supported my Microsoft in the Xbox app store through the console. Might be worth looking into.

Is this the VCR style model? The launch one. I'm in the UK, I can get one of those for £50, then if each game is about £10 then the 100 Euro asking price is pretty good, considering the controllers are £30ish each over here.

Would be better to get a XBox One X though.

And finally, is there anything you want to play on it? If not then it really isn't going to feel like a good deal.

This never happened to mine. I've had 3 of them.

Which model One is it, The DVR style, S, or X? The DVR ones have Disc Drives that are easily prone to failure, but the other 2 are better, and the X has better hardware so better picture and performance. Honestly, I don't see an issue with that deal, as long as you don't care about the latest and greatest games. There's a lot of cool shit on the One. I recommend Sunset Overdrive and Ryse Son of Rome. They were launch titles. The best ones.

This is a 100% no, don't get that. As I am from Europe, 100€ is just ok price. Here in Spain you can get a Xbox One S for 50€ with a gamepad, but you can't get a PS4 Slim for 50€ because it is much more famous, well obvious reasons.

Grab that money and look for a PS4. Either way you're not going to get a jailbroken PS4 for that price (or maybe you're very lucky!), so at least you have a better machine with more games.

Yes! It's an excellent machine you can probably pick up for cheap at a pawn shop (with a little trading or haggling). It also has native Xbox support so it's currently the best way to play those games unless you have a functioning 360 in Anno Domini 2025. The Series x/s can run xenia for 360 games too.

I swear I saw videos of Xbox One running retroarch and it couldn't run even Gamecube easy games like Mario Kart. It will be able to play most N64 and perhaps some easy to run Dreamcast and PSP, but that's about it. The CPU of Xbox One & PS4 is very weak, specially single thread, an overclocked Raspberry Pi 4 would do the task better.

console has 5 sport games, and in these 2 weeks i really haven't played it much;
just testing the first two days, then nothing more

As the others have said just the controllers are 30ish euros each and Xbox One games tend to be a tad cheaper than their Ps4 counterparts. All in all, it's not a terrible deal.

i would say that is a fairly good deal. plus, the xbox one can play music cds, dvds and blu-ray discs; so even if you don't find a lot of games for it, you can still get some use out of it.

I think it’s good! The prices are low, games are still coming out, there’s so many options!

It’s not a console many are passionate for, but for $100 (with 5 games bundled in) I’d say it’s a good purchase.


I recommend the Doom games for this console. They’re super cheap on this system and they’re fun.

especially if you look at where the xbox and it's accessories are manufactured from :/
