Ah New Super Mario Bros, even the name itself is nostalgic to hear. Y'know what else is nostalgic?

This title screen
Hearing the OST and the sound effects that went WIK WIK WIK as you select a game, it was great hearing it again

I've never noticed how Luigi was also on the title screen, it was cool to see
After watching the opening cutscene, this is where our journey would start

World 1, the beginning of a great adventure
The world map design of NSMB was amazing, it was really colorful too

"Here I go!"

The game was a huge game changer for me, but y'know what else is huge?

MEGA MARIO BABY
It surprised me a lot when I saw that Mega Mushroom for the first time, it was astonishing

Despite this game being the beginning of the "New" era every Mario fan is not so found of, somehow there's something special about the original one that isn't present in the other entries.

Ah you noticed that too don't you? It has that different vibe to it. The early days of NSMB just hits different

NSMB DS & even the Wii one are a bit nostalgic. The only problem with the series is that Nintendo milked (strange thing to say) the heck out of it, which did water down that special feeling.

Not weird at all, I think Nintendo just saw how great it was and decided not to change it too much other than giving new power ups
