I've been using Bizhawk because it's much easier to use, but I can't run the recent version of it for some reason. I've tried various things to make it run, but in the end I just gave up because my laptop probably have some issues with the new one

So here I am trying RetroArch again, here's how it goes

Ah my arch nemesis, we meet again
I got many flashbacks from the Menu alone. So, what do I think? Well most of time, it felt like this:

And this:

In the end, I finally set it up like how I wanted. A bit odd though, because I thought I was gonna spend at least a day configuring everything. But surprisingly, it was a pretty quick process

I've always loved seeing custom UI made by the others
Anyway, let's try running this NDS classic

1000023622.jpg

I can feel the nostalgia radiating off the screen
It felt really good to return to this great platformer, oh how much fun that I used to have with this one

1000023652.jpg

Never noticed that even Luigi was also on the title screen, how did I not noticed that?

It was a fun experience playing this, I feel like a kid again. Everything in this game was so memorable

Peak platformer, peak era of handheld gaming
Wait, where was I? Ah yes RetroArch, it was pretty good. I wouldn't recommend it to those that wanted a user friendly emulator though

This logo is stuck in my head now

That's all for today, see you next time

@DunkeyKong So i snapped some pics, of my Batocera Laptop im working on <have to replace the battery when i get one.
I don't have alot on it ATM, just building something to take to a Friends house when i Visit

Depending on the Theme, you get nifty Art per system

2.png

Also depending how you Set up the Details of Said theme, you can have the Games be in rows, Screenshotted, Like DOA2 here with info ect about it

And i don't know how RA works now, but

Per System or Pergame, you can set the Settings without going into Cores or convoluted Menus.

MelonDS is the main DS emulator i use. I will go to many lengths to avoid using Retroarch, at this point is sheer spite.
I feel you lmao, MelonDS is a really great emulator. But I just love playing games with Retroachievements lmao
You're a better man then I. I still just use a dozen stand alone emulators.
I'm just testing it lmao, I still have quite many standalone emulators
Someday i shall play pc engine games in retroarch, that is one of my life goals
Great goals, got a lot of PC Engine games in mind right now. Gonna try Rondo of Blood after this
That's really cool @DunkeyKong Looks nice.
Wish i could Cap my Batocera stuff, but since it's a Right out OS, and not a program. no caps, and i don't have a Vid capture card so

Mind you Batocera is Either A. Install on a External SSD/Flashdrive or the Main Drive of a PC. there's no along side. its all or nothing with Batocera

Upside, you can FTP games/bios directly into it from another pc on you're network
you click on network the batocera folder <or whatever you name it> log into it using toor as the username and linux as the pass <you can change it but really no need>

I'll take a note of that, thanks for letting me know

Here @DunkeyKong Took some snaps of the Trimu i was telling you about

Only shows Emulators you have Games for <tho you do have to Clean it to refresh it each time you add a System> And yes the Screen is Crisp and Clean to. very Clear
*Edit* By clean, i mean their is a option to turn off Emulators you have no games for, and thus you have to run it to "Refresh" the games list
1.png

Some PS1 Castlevania! i also turned the RGB on for the pics. only one's it has are around the Analog sticks
2.png

Some Parasite Eve/The 3rd birthday on PSP
3.png

And Finally, Castelvania on GBA, and a Battery for Scale of the screen
it has a fairly nice size screen to. and it actually has 2 Speakers at the bottom, not a mono one, and a fake speaker hole.

That's cool AF! I really appreciate that you take your time capturing all this. I think you could do an article about it, if you want to of course. Anyway, thank you so much for sharing

Nah, I wrote some basic stuff lmao. @Waffles though? He's GOATED at it. Btw, would you like to be included in the next article? Because you gave me a lot of great pics that others would love to see

You two write very well.

I'm just more competent at it because it was my means of survival at one point, but I still think you could both polish this a bit and join the Writer's Guild.

Damn, "means of survival"? Sounds rough. I think I'll stick to short ones for now, but thanks for the encouragement man!

Yeah, and im more of the Local Vocaloid than a Writer <well about tech anyhow>
Maybe i should change my O5-XIV to "RGT Vocaloid" Laugh

I think you used to told some of us that you started writing way back, was it on Steam?
No, it was for an Abandonware site that basically took in anyone.

I remember how my breakthrough piece was a review of SU-27 FLANKER, a game few had heard of.

That's the title?! I'm surprised that there's still a few people that heard of it, I'd love to see you review it again though. Or I guess a trip down memory lane kind of article

This thing looks neat. Might have to grab one someday.

I'm still heartbroken that Sony ditched the XMB layout. I think that UI is one of the greatest I've used. I love it.
