Here's mine, I always play one game from my backlog and one new game (sometimes "new" can be a strong word) I buy that month!

January:

1. Xenoblade Chronicles X

I'll continue playing Xenoblade Chronicles X, I am loving this game so far, it's insanely intricate, and it's actually the first JRPG I played this year since I kind of burnt out after I played nothing but JRPGs in 2023 and the first half of 2024.

2. Highguard

I plan on trying out this game, I am kinda going against popular opinion because I think it has potential in becoming something great, these people worked on Titanfall and early Apex, I am pretty sure they know what they're doing.

February

1. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag

I technically started this game this year, but I only played like 15 minutes of it, this was the only AC game that I ever cared for since I love the pirate era of history. I have high hopes for this game!

2. Gears of War: Judgment

I want to buy and start Gears of War Judgment since I played the OG trilogy this year, loved it, then I played the 'Coalition' sequels on my PC, didn't like the story but loved the multiplayer, so I want to check out the in-between stage of the franchise.

March

1. Deadspace

I bought this a year ago because I always heard good things about it, played for a bit, never finished it because some life stuff was happening in my life and never picked it up again... UNTIL NOW!

2. John Carpenter's Toxic Commando

I love zombie games and so this was instantly wish list material, also I have been burnt out of my current multiplayer rotation, so I need something new to sink my teeth into.

April

1. Call of Duty 3

In my opinion, the most forgettable CoD of all time, and that's why I absolutely want to check it out. I loved CoD 2, despised CoD 1, so CoD 3 could be the shoulder shrug of the OG trilogy, but I'll see. This will also clear up my backlog.

2. PRAGMATA

This was the most interesting game I saw this year, I loved the demo, the game-play seems AMAZING, also the characters are really fun. I am excited to see what it has to offer.

May

1. Killzone 2

I tried it 2 years ago on my PS3, but I didn't really vibe with it at the time, so I want to give it one more time this year. I also want to give the multiplayer a shot since I heard that it has fan servers.

2. Halo 4

Yeah, I just want to check out how bad the game really is. No way it's as bad as people say...right?

June

1. Jak and Dexter: The Precursor Legacy

I loved this game as a kid, and so I want to revisit it, don't have my old copy anymore so I will have to get a copy online, I am curious if the "no loading screen" thing is true.

2. Resistance: Fall of Man

I liked the game-play, but at the time I played it I already experienced some World War 2 games, so I just got burnt out of the aesthetic and dropped it.

July

1. Crackdown

I have played this for a bit this year, but I forgot about it since I was also playing some other games at the same time. I liked the gameplay and I love open-world games so I am excited about this one.

2. Bayonetta

I played the sequel for a bit at my friend's house a few years back and loved the gameplay and some other features of the game at the time. I played some other Platinum games like Vanquish and Metal Gear Rising, so I just want to round up the Platinum trio with this game.

August

1. Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

I always wanted to check out the Zelda franchise but never got around to it and since I got my Wii U now, I think it's high time I got into it.

2. Battlefield: Bad Company

I played the campaign a bit but did not like it, I want to revisit it and give it another go. I thought it would be like a CoD campaign or even like the one in Battlefield 4 but it was something different than I would have liked.

aaand I ran out of image slots lol, after August I am starting uni, so I have no idea if I'll even have time for games.

Here are some games that are either coming out or plan to come out next year that I am excited for:

1. Gears of War: E-Day
2. ShatterRush
3. TankRat
4. Stupid Never Dies
5. 4:Loop
6.Coven of the Chicken Foot

I plan to play it by ear, like always. Whether that's something hooking me for a long time, or life happening and getting in the way. I just let it happen.
I always have somewhat of a plan, I do try out some short indie games between the two main ones I'm playing that month

Love me some Xenoblade X, and Bayonetta 1 is a GOATed Character Action game ::fire

I'll be mostly making it up as I go this upcoming year, though I already know I'll be sinking some hours into Nioh 3 when it drops at least.

Trying to widdle down the absolutely massive list of PC Engine games I want to finish and maybe play a few more fighting games next year. As for new releases nothing comes to mind.

I just know that there's three games out in February I want to play and I am not happy about that.

DQ 7 - reimagined
RE 9 Requiem
Romeo is a dead man

February is always stacked for releases. It sucks.

Nioh 1 is a solid game, but if you end up enjoying it then you need to give 2 a shot too. Nioh 2 is such a fantastic game.
