It's been a while since I watched anything, I'll see if this one is good.

I just got back from the show in all I gotta say......

Fucking peak! Mario Galaxy and Sonic 3 are the best of the best when it comes to these adaptions. S-Rank; 11/10!

I am serious. Illumination knocks it out of the park. Effort went into this movie and it's more than just shallow fan service. There is fan service mud, it's weaved in without being distracting, or fits the scene in question. Don't know what those film critics have been smoking, but they mean absolutely nothing. I don't know everybody else's response or expectations but you're going to be in for a hell of a time. I'm gonna have to see this again.

I'd almost dare saying that Sonic The Movie 3 is doing a bit "too much" when it comes to its plot while Mario knows it's a simple game with a simple story.

Not by much. The story is taking its literally from SA2, with some changes here and there. Still better than any unnecessary wedding scenes and I appreciate the effort. They didn't do that, did well and did something's better than actual SA2. And did way better than anything in the Sonic X "adaptation".

I can agree, and it's why I like the last movie. It's wonderful to have a movie that's uncomplicated, straight to the point, no filler at all, and is a respectable timeframe of 88-95 minutes. The problem with a lot of mainstream movies, but not all are the ones that go gor two or three plus hours, and most of it is filled that adds nothing or was never needed in the first place.

Then again I already think that SA2's base story had many issues originally.

I feel some bias when people says that a movie has 0 story (when simple story =/= no story) while they enjoy some mainstream blockbuster with a plot that is barely more complex. I liked All the President's Men for being a good thriller but I don't expect every movies to be like that.

I remember reading how LotR basically made big producers believe that people wanted longer movies (at the cost of rhythm).

Pacing has slowly become a lost art.

Yes, and even more than enough hardcore fans had pointed this out years ago, back in the mid 2010s. The most are so used to it, that it doesn't even bother them or they embrace it.

That's the big problem and it 's not just Hollywood with this mindset. Audiences have been guilty of this to certain's degrees as well on various films or genre, but at least they're learning.

Those same fools believe in AI Magic and thought making everything like Bay Transformers or eventually "cinematic universes" will get them everywhere. They are shortsighted in greedy fools, who only got by failing upward or getting lucky. Though it is biting back on them more ways than one.

Not really. There are plenty of smaller budget films or non mainstream movies with shorter run times and respecting the audience's time. I didn't notice a lot of them tend to be action films. But there are more than a few on action stuff, where they're not overly long or don't go over the two hour runtime. I can't name them all, but there's always something around the corner, or you don't have to keep looking at mainstream movies to get it.

暗黒女子・Ankoku Joshi "The Dark Maidens"
It gave me Fatal Frame vibes with the catholic girls school location though there were no supernatural elements, and the ending was crazy.

on the theaters yesterday.

I enjoyed it. won't spoil anything here though ( even if there is very little to spoil actually. )

It was fast paced and a ton of fan service. (wich some i quite liked, but they are really old references )

Due to easter holidays I managed to get two films in for once!
In the Mood for Love (2000). If you want to watch a film that has 99% excellent shots and composition, this is the film. Really keeps your eyes on the screen.
Then theres Come and See (1985) which is...a difficult watch. Seriously.

I watched Megan 2.0 on blu ray. I only saw at once last year in theaters, and this movie still holds up great. It's a 10, compared to the first film's 7.

I finished The Ring and Ring 2 (JP) last night. I've been feeling sick recently so horror movies are usually my go to comfort films. I have already seen the first film many times though I had never seen the second film until last night. It was quite good, I loved that it was filmed so close to the first one and that many of the actors and actresses reprised their roles. I think I will watch Dark Water next.

Came across this movie, bought it, and watched it right away. If you haven’t heard of it, which you probably have, I recommend going in blind without reading anything. That’s how I first saw it a while back, and I was shocked.

Up for today: Redline (2006) as part of Anime April - this one is a banger. The intro scene is one of the coolest pieces of animation that I have ever experienced. And it is an experience. The sounds the animation, the tactical moments of quiet amidst the exposition. It was awesome.

I came across a seller who had the exact movies I was looking for. One of them is The Shining, so I’m watching that tonight.

I just bawled my eyes out at Train to Busan (2016).
Just realized that’s the dude from Squid Game.

Started armageddon again will finish it later. Rockhound and his teeny girlfriend. How old r u?|

I watched Godzilla VS Hedorah last night. It was fun. I really liked the music and the animated segments. The music actually really reminded me of Fantastic Planet, which is a great thing.

Le Cercle Rouge.jpg

Recently watched Le Cercle Rouge. The heist scene is pretty unique in how quiet it was.
