In my 30s, I’ve felt like all of the friendships with my best friends have dwindled down to nothing. I was the only one putting in the effort for the last few years. So I got to where I stopped trying. And most places online are awkward or weird to find friends at this point in life.

Since my overall experience has been positive with this site since I joined, I thought, “what the heck, why not try here?”

My name is Hunter. I live in Peru currently. My hobbies include playing music, watching sports, playing video games (of course), and I’m learning to draw. I currently have carpal tunnel syndrome, so that kind of sucks in regards to most things I enjoy.

But anyways…feel free to comment here or in a DM if you’d just like to stay in touch from time to time. Or maybe others can relate and want to share. That’s okay too!

I’ll keep that in mind, but I’m just learning the basic concepts and shapes. So I don’t quite have much to show yet. I hope I can improve and learn to enjoy it more.

Losing connections gets even more rough as you age. It's good that you're still putting yourself out there.

i feel you. i'm not yet in my 30s tho it's soon to come.
my friends whom i used to call and meet up everyday or every other day i now meet once a year.

i try to pretend it's cool and not depressing but it rly is
i miss having friends

i dont mind being friends if u wna we can play Netplay Dolphin games if u ever have the time (i'm in GMT +8 tho)

True friendships don't dwindle over time, they are continuously fostered. I found that most of those whom I called friends were no such thing - it was a combination of happenstance and convenience for them.

At one point that does hurt, but once you learn to accept it, you'll start to open up to the realization that true friends are few and far between.
That doesn't mean they don't exist, though, and given the quality of the population here, it would not be surprising if you made a few.

I play several musical instruments, but most recently it’s been music like Caamp, Tyler Childers, Zach Bryan, etc.

I create custom tabs on the banjo. So most of what I play comes from creating arrangements for people.

Which emulator is that for?

The Dolphin emulator is for the Wii and Gamecube consoles! i havent actually tried netplay so idk how well it works or if it does at all XD

I'm only 22 and feel this way I only have like two friends life is weird lol
