An improvement hack that addresses several mechanic incongruities and annoyances with the game. Check the enclosed documentation or the source for details.

RB's Notes: It's very likely, given the extent of the changes, that this requires a fresh start, so do not mix up saves with the unmodified game.

While i like the SNES version of Shadowrun, the Genesis' game is a lot more fateful to the rules.

I'm kinda surprised that it took Cyberpunk so long to be turned into a game when it hit the scene first backing in 1988. Shadowrun would come out a year later, and go on to be the more popular and well known of the two cyberpunk based tabletop games.

Have beaten it without need for "enhancements". Game isnt really that hard, outside of standard shenanigans for games of its time. Still the best Shadowrun game outhere ( yeah, including Harebrained games ).

Hell no! Genesis by a mile! Feels like Shadowrun the RPG game. SNES was ok and a bit boring. Better graphics? Well higher resolution of the genesis 224x320 should tell you no. But i get color can come into play for visuals. 2 different games with the Sega winning this one
The SNES title is much more of an RPG than the Sega... The Sega version is easy more adventure/action RPG... But they're both extremely good games.

its cool to see this game modded and im happy people still have an intrest in it but the mods created dont really excite me. i was hoping for melee weapons ro maybe character selection, or changing the mission mechanics and odds of getting matrix runs
For this game to get the treatment it deserves I think it'll have to be entirely remade; ROM hacks simply won't be good enough.
Ideally we'd have more weapons/spells/cyberware, selectable race/gender, name entry, more missions, more Matrix runs, and total rebalancing of everything. Maybe some day...

The Genesis version is good version but the SNES version is superior graphically (except in Resolution) and musically speaking and also takes full advantage of the use of the mouse controller because it is suitable for point 'n click games.

Just fyi, SNES/SFC Shadowrun doesn't support mouse, you are talking about the hack. Even with the hack, I'm not sure if I can say manual mouse aim is better than auto-aim.
Ok I understood I was referring to the romhack because natively speaking I did not have mouse support, sorry if I was wrong.

The Mega Drive version is a completely different game, in a different genre. It's much more open-ended and action orientated... I don't think it'd play well with a mouse even if you could.
Well, also because both versions were made by a different studio that is Blue Sky Software (Mega Drive/ Genesis) and Beam Software (Super Famicom/Super Nintendo).

TLDR from the source:
1. Protection talisman and Combat Sense Spell Lock do what they say.
2. Increased the times you can use Fetishes ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
3. Lets you buy 99 clips at a time instead of 20.
4. Removed all but 1 Tar Pit.
5. Mental and Physical Health restored to 100% when respawning.
6. Fixes a bug caused by wired reflexes when using melee attacks.
7. Text fix for what Agira Tetsumi sells
8. Title Screen: Added “Hack 2025.1”
Nerf power applied, x'd.

"Cyberpunk 2077 before Cyberpunk 2077" hehehe :loldog i oughta stop joking before some russian would take this idea and hack this game as that
