After some work (with thanks to Martin Pugh and Paul Hughes for advice), we have managed to finally get the game up and running, and you can now check it out for yourselves via the downloads. Despite being a prototype of the game, I feel that the players' sprites and the ball look very tiny, as if the game has the zoom very far away by default.
