pretty much what the title says, I like JRPGs mostly but any kinda RPG is good. I want more cool games to play for this system the controller is fun

Panzer Dragoon Saga is the big one, Shining the Holy Arc, Shining Force III, Sakura Wars (I think 2 recently got fan translated), Lunar 1 and 2 both got Saturn enhancements.

Most of them get on Japan only so you have a small list to choose.
The only ones that comes to my mind are Lunar, Grandia and Shinning Force 3.
I never play the Panzer Dragon Saga so I can't recommend it but some people say it's good.

Yeah, Grandia is fantastic if you can play it translated. Highly recommended. That and Panzer Dragoon Saga are the big two though I have never actually played Saga

Devil Summoner and Soul Hackers, although... Devil Summoner English never ever but... there's a Spanish translation in progress but it's for PSP version while for Soul Hackers there's a English translation in progress

Panzer Dragoon Saga is great, arguably best game on the system.
There's a tactical style game that had two titles so if you see them both, it's the same game: Blazing Heroes/Mystaria. Apparently Mystaria was some kind of D&D thing so there was a lawsuit about it.
Dragon Force is a sort of tactical game as well, so less an RPG, but Working Designs published it and so it was one in my brain.
Magic Knight Rayearth is more of light action RPG, but also worth checking out if you run out of options.

I regret selling all of these, because I bought em all new back then. Live and learn. ::cirnoshrug

I think everybody is already telling you what you need to know. I just came to say the Saturn is such a cool damn system and I wish I lived in an alternate timeline where more weird shit got localized and there was more general support for it. Definitely dig into the catalogue because there are RPG adjacent games and other oddities buried in the rubble worth playing.

Yeah Working Designs published some cool stuff. Unfortunately you have to deal with whatever "alterations" they made to the games. Dragon Force is pretty cool though.

I missed out on the Saturn as I was all into the Playstation, but I discovered it years later and it does have some really neat games. Three Dirty Dwarves is one of the most unique beat 'em ups ever and they poured so much love into the visuals and music. Then you have all those awesome, arcade perfect fighting games from Capcom. Plus, some multiplatform games got some exclusive stuff on Saturn.

I had a similar experience. The Saturn always seemed so mysterious and elusive when I was a kid lol. Actually, the first 3D games I saw were on a Saturn commercial and Virtua Fighter blew my mind lmao. Never had one until I worked at a game store and snatched one up. I still do deep dives for Saturn stuff on uh... my computer a few times a year.

Princess Crown
Magic Knight Rayearth
Sakura Wars
Shining Force 3
Guardian Heroes

I remember when Gamestops started carrying Saturn imports in...maybe 98? Just to have a Saturn presence until the Dreamcast hit, I think they just didn't want to redo the store layout. Anyway, they had stuff like Symphony of the Night, the Capcom fighting games and arcade compilations, and then like a handful of weird one-offs. Funky Head Boxing and stuff like that. I remember getting X-Men vs Street Fighter and a couple of others, but then when they were clearing them out for FOUR BUCKS I didn't bite because "I already have Symphony of the Night." So dumb!
Suikoden 1 was on saturn. I heard it had some small differences but didnt try it myself.
From wikipedia: The Saturn version was released nearly three years after the PlayStation original. It is an enhanced port including new locations, new enemies, enhanced colors, and a new opening full motion video.

^ that sounds worth seeking out a translation for.

That's fascinating. I was born in 91 so I only caught the tail end of that wave. I do remember when PS1 and PS2 games were on clearance and boy do I regret not holding onto everything lol.

The collection I sold off from 2005-2007 for next to nothing, would be at least $50k today's money, if not closer to $100k. I kept everything pristine and had a bunch of limited editions and consoles. But I guess it's better to have at least had the stuff once and enjoyed it then, heh. ::cirnoshrug

Was thinking about replaying it. Maybe will try that Saturn version. Played it enough times on PSX that I could probably find my way through the japanese version. Maybe I can even learn some Japanese

I assume you've seen this Majuular video on Saturn RPGs already right?

Anyways last year I did a 100% run of Panzer Dragoon Saga and I couldn't believe how much it lived up to the hype. I even mastered it on RetroAchievements. Probably my favourite RPG ever now.

Also praying the Saturn SRPG Wachenroder gets a proper fan translation sometime in the next few years.
