This includes Jet Set Radio, Space Channel 5 part 2, Crazy Taxi, Nights and others... (including over 50 Genesis titles).

So if you are interested in having these games on Steam, but don't own them yet then now is the time to get them, before it is too late.
You have until Dec 6th.

Just letting you know.

That's why I'm honestly afraid of having any of my purchases tied to an online service... reminds me of when the Fallout games were delisted from GoG shortly after I got them, or how Netflix completely removed The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air halfway through my watch-through. It just sucks.

I have gotten back into having physical or digital backups of games/tv shows/movies so I won't lose the ability to enjoy them in the future. My wife says it's unnecessary but when the power or internet goes out, I can still watch my shows or play handheld games.

It's at least 60 games in total.
And it's not just Steam, they are also removing titles from Xbox, Switch and Playstation.

Not sure why Sega has made this decision. Seems like something big must be going on I guess.

I hate how they keep taking away ways for us to legally own games.

I'd say it has something to do with remasters or remakes if it was less games. But 60 titles? That's crazy. Wonder what's up.

That's why i emulate and pirate games even when i have them. Is really awful how it seem the only real way of keep your own games safe.

Your games are safe if you have already purchased them.

They're being de-listed, so that means after December 6th you won't be able to purchase them. But If you did purchase them before that date you'll still have them in your account and be able to play them.

They're not being removed from people's accounts (nor becoming unplayable), they're just no longer going to be listed for purchase.

So if you are interested in owning them on these platforms, then purchase them now, before it's too late.

It's this kind of practice by companies that strenghtens peoples' drive to look for alternatives. Sega has been absolutely terrible to its fans for the most part, and, to me at least, the only reason they manage to stay afloat these days is because they have Atlus' IPs on their back pocket.

Oh my god – I just bought the Genesis Classic Collection for PS4 a few months ago, and thank the good lord I did! It's a really great collection (on any platform, I have the PC one too) – I can't imagine why they'd delist it, unless they're looking to sell these games back to us at a later date (and, of course, an inflated price 😡 ).

Fortunately, that Genesis collection does have a physical version, so you still might be able to get a console copy if you really want it, but this is still ALL VERY FOOLISH. People who don't have the Dreamcast games will be dongled, I'm afraid.

I wished they added the Genesis Mini/NSO games to that compilation but alas.

The emulation in this collection was not perfect and the game room is a gimmick that overstayed its welcome, I want a proper game list I can quickly choose from.
