I should play the remaining installments...after I finish the first game.

I know 3 is considered the black sheep of the series and was rushed out the door.

back when developers had enough time and breathing room to consider all the posibilities, that's some Toby Fox tier crabs

What's an escapipe? How do you use it? You supposed to smoke it to escape? So many questions::thinking

To be fair I think that to be able to reach that point on purpose has you needing to do something not intuitive at all (ie: selling your equipment).

Toby Fox hasn't invented that kind of thing either.

I know, but he popularized them, akin to people calling hard games Souls-like

I don't want to derail the thread but this is something detrimental since harder games predated Dark Souls and that people got bored of people using "it's the dark souls of..." online.

And was made by a different team whereas Phantasy Star 1, 2 and End of Millennium was made by another (then went to make Skies of Arcadia).

Yeah, it's not really "breaking" the game, when the developers obviously saw the possibility and prepared for it.

Same goes with "sequence breaking" in Metroid Dread, where you can get the bombs upgrade before fighting Kraid. Except that the developers accounted for this, and even allowed for using the bombs in the boss fight to make it significantly easier.

I get that this topic may have been made in jest - and that's totally fine! But the PSIII example is anything but game-breaking. More of an Easter Egg than anything else ;->

A thing I found neat about 3 is that the more people you had in your party the more complex the field music got.

Man, this game had so much potential, makes me sad

Pretty funny that the devs where aware of this potential softlock, but instead of preventing you from doing it they just put in this unique dialog.

OK, that's pretty cool.
I love when games when do that. You really feel like you're making good progress.
