Back in February, VodkaEnergee had created a Toonami thread (https://retrogametalk.com/threads/toonami.4453/#post-68913) that celebrated the history of one of the greatest cartoon blocks of all time. After putting in my contribution to that thread, I'd began thinking about another awesome cartoon block that was considered to being Toonami's successor at the time, with said block being called the Saturday Video Entertainment System or SVES for short:

Making its debut in March 2003, SVES was similar yet different from Toonami in that it focused more on balancing action anime and cartoons together (examples being Dragon Ball Z, YuYu Hakusho, Mobile Fighter G Gundam, Jackie Chan Adventures, X-Men: Evolution, and Justice League) with a video game aesthetic, all while veteran voice actor Mark Hamill had provided the voice over for the block's packaging. Even though it lasted an entire year, SVES would unfortunately be axed in April 2004 and being replaced by Toonami which had transitioned into a Saturday Night cartoon block.

Although it didn't last long as Toonami did, I still consider SVES in being one of the best cartoon blocks to ever come into existence (mainly because like Toonami, it combined two of my favorite things being anime and video games together) and I always wondered on how the block would evolve and develop over the years like Toonami did. Do any of you have any memories of SVES?

Also, on a side note, which action anime and cartoons around this time period do you think would've fit quite well in SVES? Or Toonami if given the chance and opportunity to do so? (an example of this being Martian Successor Nadesico which was shown during Toonami's Giant Robot Week)
