RB's Notes: The .m3u file is used to make disc swapping easier when using Mednafen and cores based on it. To run the game, load that file instead of the individual .cue files (loading will take a bit longer). Make sure all relevant .bin/cue pairs are in the same directory as the .m3u or it will not work!

To swap discs when asked, press F6 to cycle between available disc images, then press F8 to load the selected one.

I'm using ImgBurn, which is what I've always used. I'm running a Pseudo Kai cart.

I tried using Verbatum CDRs (I know theyre not ideal), and the Pseudo Kai software picks it up, but gives an error and wont boot it.

Using a Sony CDR, the saturn wont even read it. It wont even spin. If it matters, I used to have a stack of memorex CDRs that I've burned most of my saturn games to, and they have worked 95 percent of the time. I'm just all out of them

If you have any better recommendations, please let me know

I'm unable to get the game to boot at all on burned CDs. Didn't matter if I used a cheap CDR or a Sony one. I know its not my saturn, because all other games boot just fine. I've downloaded and ripped Sakura Wars 1 the same way a couple years ago, and it worked perfectly. Is there anything else I'm supposed to do with the files differently with this one?

I wish I could send back copies of these to my younger self. I loved my Saturn as a kid for the stuff I had, but the things available in English now would've blown my mind. Fan translators and modders are the best
(C'mon though Sega! If you make it multiplatform there's more than enough interest for a Sakura Wars collection and updated version of the PS4 game! Do them justice and people will happily give you money for these things!)

Okay the game now is fixed from the Option bug after i repatched the game on my own, replacing the one i downloaded from here. That was one helluva weird bug for sure.

Please, tell us if you get the same results or not. Although I don´t think it´s a game issue, more like a problem in your particular Saturn. I can´t test it in mine since my 220-110v power supply is dead rn

yeah its probably saturn problem but it did happen only one time on this new saturn but my old saturn it has same problem but worse

I have now played for 3 hours, and I'm almost at the save point where I left off. Only one more episode to go, and I can continue from where my save was erased. Now I save the file to my Action Replay after every second episode

Please, tell us if you get the same results or not. Although I don´t think it´s a game issue, more like a problem in your particular Saturn. I can´t test it in mine since my 220-110v power supply is dead rn

Beetle is just mednafen so it should work. If worst comes to worst try using the latest standalone Mednafen build. If you need a front end you can look up Mednaffe.

While I still had issues, the stand alone Mednafen and its GUI actually provided information for what was going wrong (It wasn't reading the bio's correctly due to pathing issues) and I managed to fix it and the game runs now. Thanks for the help.

I am using the Beetle Saturn emulator on Retro Arch on Steam. Is there known issues with that program and I should just use a stand alone? I used emulators before with no issue but Retro Arch tends to give me some hardships when trying to run games.

From what I know of Saturn in the West whoever was in charge of what games got released did the console really dirty, preventing a bunch of quality stuff from seeing the light of day over here.

Yeah it's weird how the even didn't localize lunar and grandia in the west
