English translation of Sakura Wars 2 for the Saturn.

Author: NoahSteam
Patch Source: segaxtreme

(Disc 1) (Track 1).bin CRC-32: d7b04497
MD5: 6a2775388e661c2384ec3c911298a15a

(Disc 2) (Track 1).bin CRC-32: 92b0049f
MD5: 36eac93a576c1c536863af7e66210787

(Disc 3) (Track 1).bin CRC-32: 23c25c87
MD5: 770ebda210ecf6299b97d5f4b9731617

RB's Notes: The .m3u file is used to make disc swapping easier when using Mednafen and cores based on it. To run the game, load that file instead of the individual .cue files (loading will take a bit longer). Make sure all relevant .bin/cue pairs are in the same directory as the .m3u or it will not work!

To swap discs when asked, press F6 to cycle between available disc images, then press F8 to load the selected one.

That would be the result of a bad burn. The FMVs were tested on a burned CD-R on my Saturn I've had since 1996. They all were in spec and worked properly. I'd recommend buying some higher quality professional grade CD-Rs. The cheap verbatims you can get at Best Buy or Wal-Mart wont cut it these days.
Yeah, I use those Verbatim CD-R discs that I bought from Amazon, and the game does work, it’s only stuttering during the FMVs

i am poor too you know

I also have some issues with my burned copy, like FMVs stuttering and, in-game, it didn't move the cursor for some reason

In the segaextreme post they talk about about the problem with Saroo and the game, and how fixing will likely interfere badly with the english patch.

The Saturn is, perhaps, one of biggest cases in the industry of posthumous recognition.
From what I know of Saturn in the West whoever was in charge of what games got released did the console really dirty, preventing a bunch of quality stuff from seeing the light of day over here.

I don't speak the language, but will the Portuguese translation by the same people also be uploaded to the repository?

Really glad I bought a Saturn recently, more and more keeps coming out that makes it so worth it

No questions are dumb questions. Assuming you are using retroarch, you'd have to map the relevant keys somewhere.
lol a literal and simple google search is your friend smh

after that Princess Crown ''7 gorillion beta versions'' circus it's refreshing to see a proper release of a Saturn fan translation
It's not my M.O to have every tiny beta change available (I think it's a waste of time), but people keep requesting those.

Also you should put NoahSteam as the author as he is the Project Lead. I'm only listed as that on the SegaXtreme post because I'm the team member that uploaded it there.
Sure, I'll amend the information.

Thanks for the clarification, and most of all, the incredible labor of love you and the team put forth.

It should be noted that the video in the post isn't the translation patch. We did recreate the original commercials though if you'd like to link one of those:
