Running ‘Far East Of Eden’ Turbografx game on Iphone?

Hi everyone, im trying to run the new English translation of ‘tangai makyou- far east of eden’ for the turbofragx using retroarch on my iphone 12 but running into problems. For some reason cd based games (besides ps1 games) only work when i download them as ‘chd’ files but even upon downloading this game as a ‘chd’ file the game still wont play. Does anyone know how i can play cd games that are downloaded as ‘zip files’ on iphone, or perhaps its a firmware problem as some retroarch cores say ‘firmware not found’ which is odd as i have a number of turbografx games that run fine.

Any help greatly appreciated!
 
I'm not on macOS but on Retroarch on Linux/Windows I run PCEngine CD games in the bin/cue files format with Beetle PCE core, loading the cue file.

For firmware I've used :

Maybe check the documentation on the core you use, and see if they support CHD and require a specific BIOS.

Thanks for the help! Finally got the game working on Retroarch using the SuperGrafx Beetle core. Redownloaded syscard3.pce, unzipped the files and put them in the Retroarch ‘download’ folder. Been trying to get this to run since the day the English Translation came out! Massive thanks 😊

Glad you got it sorted out. I've tried the game a bit myself on my side as I didn't know about it, it sounds fun.
