Rumor: Half-Life 3 getting announced this week

The bigger question is why you are here selectively bitching, whining, and moving the figurative value proposition goal posts, for a product nobody knows the price of yet.

No hype and no fun allowed, when Ikaruga is around. Pump the brakes everybody. It's not even been a day since announcement and we need to focus on how doomed Valve is.
Seems like you're overreacting towards anyone who has an opinion that doesn't follow yours.

I've noticed that kind of behaviour in other topics yet I've said nothing because I wasn't concerned by it. I'm starting to get slightly annoyed by your cheap sarcasm and aggressiveness towards other users.

I would've preferred we could've debated and talked like actual adults instead of this.

In my opinion that Steam Machine won't replace a desktop as it does't have the portability as the Steam Deck nor does have the plug and play aspect of a console.

The announcement people have been waiting years for finally shows up, and you are downplaying and shitting on it with shallow, complete nonsense takes via responses with cherry picked quotes and statements.

You have earned any and all cheap sarcasm and aggression.

I hope Gaben leaves a lump of coal in your socks this year.

Translation: It is a desktop that won't replace a desktop, because it is not a portable handheld, and not a plug and play console.

It's an entry level prebuilt PC running the console interface used on Steam Deck. It has sleep and wake functions to suspend games. You can swap in SD cards to have your game library show up between devices. It handles all kinds of peripherals and controllers with Steam Input. How much more plug and play does it need to be?

Don't answer. I don't care. It's a rhetorical question, pissing in the wind.

It wasnt HL3, but I wouldnt be surprised if they end up announcing it when the Steam Machines are getting ready to jump. They already did something similar with Alyx.

And with how the gaming world is right now, I think they will hit it out of the park.
