Rockstar is making it like a rockstar and getting billions of dollars out of GTA Online.

There's no way that doesn't impact the design of GTA 6.

Honestly? Given how fucked the gaming industry is, I kinda respect companies like Rockstar and Epic milking their biggest assets for all their worth instead of letting them rot forgotten, outsourcing them to third parties that don't care about them, or simply kill them off.

Yes, but much like we can see Diablo Immortal in Diablo IV, we'll most likely get a lot of GTA Online in GTA 6.

Oh, I agree.

But I was an early GTA V adopter and the online aspect was pushed so hard, it physically threw me off my chair XD It's nothing new, really.

Yes, Rockstar does a lot of things but somehow isn't able to release GTA 6. I think Rockstar has now taken off from Earth.

Well people are easily addicted to wasting money on a game they like. GTA online making billions is 0 surprise what is surprise is how such a game is so popular. Even if I spent 1000 years trying to study why I would still never get it. But just like Euro vision song contest the masses share similar shit taste in something.

A couple of years ago, iirc, some guy at Blizzard said in an interview that they earned more money on horses skins than on a full build game.

Now lets see how Blizzards is doing...

This is sadly the current state of gaming, it is way more profitable to just squeeze the player money than to actually create a good game. People in charge that cared about games are either replaced or just corrupted by the never ending search of more money. A good example would be Bungie.

So I agree that this is a bad sign, but something we all knew for a while. GTA6 will be packed with microtransactions and will try to rip off everyone that tries to use their online features. That is assuming they wont just add a singleplayer ingame shop like how other companies will do.
