Description​

DON'T FORGET TO READ THE READ ME! IT HAS A POTENTIAL VIDEO FIX!

Part Doomlike, part parody and part arcade action, Robber is a Chinese made game that has you go on 4 different missions with 3 different selectable robots to take down the big bad at the end! It's a fun, but short, game that will have you coming back for more to get better and better scores and to try out the different weapons each robot has!

This game doesn't have much dialog too so for the non-chinese speakers on here you can still enjoy this! I included a translated photo of the main menu too just in case you want to poke around a bit and/or find where you can see the high scores if need be!

Can you beat my highscore!? Its the last photo on the screenshots for this game!

CONTINUED VIDEO ISSUE: Rage has told me he can't get the cutscenes working for him no matter what but it worked fine for me on the 2 computers I tested it on. If it STILL doesn't work for you then make the movie files open with MPC by default that's included as a video fix download in the package and restart. That means the files always open with MPC when you double click them. If it STILL doesn't work then once again, I am stumped. You can still play the game fine without the cutscenes and can view them when the game is finished. They are not long cutscenes at all and there isn't many.

If you wanted to actually patch the Chinese text in game, use the attached script, and for the video file you can just embed subtitles into the mpg file.

does this game has malware? because it's a chinese game and it contains a whole bunch of viruses on my pc

No, no issues. I installed it on a Windows XP VM and copied the files over to a Windows 10 and 11 computer to test. No issues found.

Wow, I just unzipped it and checked the files, but didn't see it. So I played one of the videos in vlc and hit the info button. Sure enough its indeo codec v5, the one codec people usually don't get to work. I have the one and only codec file which will actually make this work perfectly in wine. I personally put weeks of my time into getting this to work. Klingon honor guard uses this codec.

I'm gonna go eat so give me like 1 to 2 hours and I'll be back and I'll upload whatever I've got for this. You will not get this to work with k-lite codec pack. It does have indeo codec but it's the incorrect one.

I donno the codec but I use Media Player Classic for certain games. I think thats what made this game work but Rage said it still didn't work. I don't know much about codec's in general though sorry.
