Description​

DON'T FORGET TO READ THE READ ME! IT HAS A POTENTIAL VIDEO FIX!

Part Doomlike, part parody and part arcade action, Robber is a Chinese made game that has you go on 4 different missions with 3 different selectable robots to take down the big bad at the end! It's a fun, but short, game that will have you coming back for more to get better and better scores and to try out the different weapons each robot has!

Thanks to the help of a ton of people, you can now play this game with subtitled English for the first time ever! The menus are in English! The cutscenes are in English! Almost everything in the game is in English other than the intro title cards in white letters. The way they were outlined in the files it would have been a nightmare to translate but the core story is still there! I also included a texture ripper that will let you rip out the textures from the game! If anyone figures out how to properly translate that level intro text I would love to know.

VIDEO ISSUE UPDATE! IT HAS BEEN FIXED!: Thank you to roundtree for helping fix the video issue in the game! Now you just need to download the fix in the video fix folder in this new version and it should just work! You may need a computer restart and thats it! Thank you so much!

NOW WITH LINUX INSTRUCTIONS!: Inside the zip file you will find a .txt file that tells you how to run the game on Linux with Wine. Thank you once again roundtree for all your help! You have made this awesome game even more awesome!

Game acting weird? Just restart your comp! Sadly there's some mouse issues I can't fully stomp when you pause or look through some menus but it's very minimal and none of the mouse issues effect the game at all. I would highly recommend not alt-tabbing out of this game, it hates it.

If you want to play Legend of the Seven Paladins, make sure to use the BuildGDX source port, because otherwise the projectiles by most enemies are otherwise very broken, resulting in bullet hell/danma-style gameplay that's impossible to pull out. The source port lets you toggle this fix, just in case you still wanna go bullet hell/danma-style gameplay.

Mars 3D has two versions of English translation: an official 1997 release (rediscovered and archived last year), and a newer effort by Community Release. It was originally released in the CD format, but eventually released digitally for free after all the copies were sold. I recommend this source port for the best experience.

FYI, this game is from Taiwan, not China. I'm assuming you're aware of the likes of Legend of the Seven Paladins and Mars 3D? Those are another Taiwanese boomer shooters, specifically from the 1990s.

From the screenshots this looks very N64 coded. Especially the colours. Glad to live in a time when I can play obscure chinese boomer shooters. Thanks as always for your service Alma.
