Seems like a weak mod, but I think the title is hilarious. Many mods have terrible titles, especially mods of JRPGs and Super Metroid. “…of [something]” will always get my vote.

I sorta agree, I quite liked the game, it was a lot of fun, but what I liked about RCG0 is how you get to play as both the boys and the girls, but it's something I've come to expect from WayForward, they like really girls and they loooove to shove in fan service in their games.

Honestly though, had they been an Asian developer they'd be getting a lot of crap from western journalists for all the sexy fan service they shove in, but of course being a western developer they can get away with it I guess

On paper it sounds like a great hack. The game River City Girls is fun so they made SoR have such a gameplay which is a good idea so it's not a simple sprite swap hack at all. It says bosses are changed but optionally it could change enemies too but its ok as it's already.

You should try it at least! I don't think it's weak, the characters ability aren't the same like in the original so they've changed it to their own abilities

Imho, a good hack with sprite replacement is when what you insert looks organic in the game. It didn't seem to work out here. The second option is when there is some meaning, some purpose, such as gender replacement. And what is the purpose here? After all, you can insert Ponies and Pokemons if the goal is just to practice.
