Bad news, viewers – George Lowe, the voice of TV's Space Ghost (Coast to Coast), has passed on to the big talk show set in the sky. If you've ever enjoyed any [adult swim] programming over the past quarter-century, you owe this man a debt.

Perhaps we could use this thread to discuss our favourite moments from Space Ghost (original or C2C, I don't mind), The Brak Show, or any related materials. And if you see any fire ants, please... don't follow them.

I love space ghost, RIP. ::sadkirby

Zorak n Brak must be grieving horrifically... ok, maybe just Brak xD

hard RIP. I go as far back as to the very beginning of Adult Swim n just early Cartoon Network in general - I remember how bad the news was for the voice actor for Captain Murphy from Sealab 2021 was with his passing... eras have to end but their legacies surely won't </3

Ghost Planet lost a true crusader for justice and cheese logs.

Mr. Lowe made my teenage years a laugh roaring good time. This just devastated me.

I hope AS does a tribute to him, they know damn well that without him they wouldn't have gotten the majority of viewership and notoriety and recognition without him.

Rest in peace, o Space Ghost. May your enemies keep dumpster diving for table scraps like the 6-piece chicken mcNobodies they are.

George Lowe was one of the best parts of Aqua Teen Hunger Force since most of the time he was playing a caricature of himself. This was probably my favorite one besides the time he was a cop with Tom Savini.

This is unbelievably sad. I remember enjoying both classic and Coast to Coast at different points in life.

Yep, the same one.
Found a YouTube video with the scene.
"Good thing this wasn't blood. I'd be licking AIDS right now."
lol love ATHF

tbh the adult-swim comedy that came later after ATHF, Home Movies, Sealab 2021, Metalocalypse, Venture Bros. - was a lil too dry for me. understated subtlety is of much more value to me these days at 45 than the pure compulsive excess n extremities of back-in-the-day - but there's a thin line between dry/deadpan/masked implication of satire or metaphor or parallel - and just plain uninspired misfires/laziness/self-unawareness in writing standards...

...but to each THEY own ^_^

also yea I'm old enough to have watched Space Ghost on the USA channel's cartoon lineup in the 80's for Saturday mornings (with other channels competing with their own cartoon lineups) go Spider-Man & His Amazing Friends n Centurions n G.I. Joe n Transformers n Go-Botz. n Kidd Video xD

Edit: and M.A.S.K. - how could I forget that one??!

Genuinely can't stress enough how funny this was, spending your time watching SG on AW was nothing short of memorable, and I'm saddened to see him go.

It also introduced me alot to the music I listen to today, and I hope AS does something as tribute, It’s one of their poster-boys.

Ah, damn. Such a talented guy, he could make anything sound funny. I've been saying six-piece Chicken McNobody so long kids don't get the reference anymore.

I love the bits they got guests to go along with, here's a little of one of the best.

Just when my day couldn't get any worse than it already has. Thanks for posting... Really appreciate it.? R.I.P. George Lowe
