Yeah, people have some weird ideas regarding how age is perceived. Boomer itself became a catchall term for liking older things.

It really bugs me people nowadays have this obsession with what is new and trendy, like they all are having a sever case of FOMO

A lot of younger gamers were exposed to older games via Youtubers like Scott the Woz and JonTron, and retro gaming in general is a thriving subculture now. The majority of young gamers are still mainly playing Fortnite and Minecraft with their friends, but there's definitely a subset that are passionate about games and want to experience the good games they weren't around for. Also, some people like myself just grew up a console gen or two behind because we were poor, so we made due with used games others have experienced already.
