RGT Nostalgia Society #7 - Zone of the Enders

How are those who are already playing finding it so far? .
It's just as fun as I remember it being. And it's also still just as quick to beat. Without cutscenes, it can be finished in under 90 mins.
I watched every cutscene on my first run since the PS2 days, and without a guide it took me about 4 and a half hours to beat the whole thing.

I've finally found some time to actually boot the game and it's still great. Simple gameplay, and the story is basically just Gundam '79 but darker and without the companion robot.

PSA if you're playing on a PS2. You can't save the game without crashing unless you have the system clcok set properly... found that out the hard way. Literally got past the first boss and was saving the game between areas when I was crashed back to the PS2 browser without a new save file.

I've been playing more and I gotta say I'm loving it. Need to get myself a physical copy of this game again for sure. Even in it's original incarnation it's a goddamn treat.

My biggest complaints are probably related to the camera. It's a finicky bitch at the best of times, but as gripes go it's pretty minor. Also I keep getting lost but I think that's a me thing. Might look up a guide for where to find specific modules and pass codes or something.

Wish I had a modern controller tho, this PS2 controller is fuuuuucked.
