I remember having to use tricks with a second memory card to get enough cards to beat it in high school . Game gets insanely hard in the end

Honestly I remember having to look it up to make it past the first duel in the game that isn't set in ancient Egypt haha.

The lack of needing polymerization does help tho lol iirc you can just get a few killer combos down and blitz through the early stages.

I still remember being amazed when I discovered that you could watch the monsters fighting by hitting a different attack confirm button.
