Phew, got my review done, damn reviews take more time than I thought, so have been away :P

Now that you mentioned it, that that old man didn't return in any of the other games of the series. Congratulations man, you survived another month

indeed. I needed plenty of whiskey to get through this one Not as much as Vagrant Story though, that one really pissed me off, and is definitely next review.

So much so that I looked it up and apparently this was the first game by the Camelot devs. Really cool.

That's true! The current president of Camelot Software Planning was the writer/producer. I learned that during research. Camelot even credits it on their website to themselves, but I couldn't find anything definitive about how many devs from Climax ended up working/associated with Camelot, lots of complicated business stuff.

I think this is the less accessible game in the whole shining series, most of the others are strategy games like fire emblem.

I think the fire emblem games are pretty hard as well >_<
