MayDay. MAYDAY!!!

That's right, May Day is coming soon, and that can only mean that it's time to try and nominate a new game for the RGT Nostalgia Society to play!!!
Video Games Gamer GIF

If you're not familiar with us, the RGT Nostalgia Society (or RGTNS for short) is a monthly play-together group. Each month we nominate and then vote for a game, and we all try our best to play through the entire thing together before the month ends.

As always, there is only one rule:
  • All nominations must include a link to a game on The Repo. NO EXCEPTIONS!! (for real tho, I've been letting this slide a bit, but it's like literally our only rule)
Get those nominations in people!!!

This is a game that picked my interest because of it's dark and immersive atmosphere ::nyamcoawards

I was thinking about suggesting Digimon World again, I still think it's a good idea to show off whatever Digimon we get to each other. But then I started hearing Geno's Maze theme, and then the voices made me pick SMRPG. They tell me it might be decent Summer game...

Metal Saga is low key one of the coolest games in the veritable sea of PS2 RPGs and gets very little recognition. Part of the Metal Max series.

Once again re3 is my candidate.

Og monster hunter??? Nah that's more evil than me

Oh! That looks interesting, I'm gonna check it out. ::heart how these nomination threads also give me new stuff to look in to ^_^

I had an idea, inspired by the Digimon World talk above, to suggest Monster Rancher. In the same way we could see how each others' Monsters grew and on top of that we could even have them battle each other in a finale custom tournament. But I reconsidered because maybe that idea is too big. Maybe that could be its own project.

Well instead I'll do Pokemon TCG 2.
This is better in many ways to TCG 1 but there's also some annoying parts where the opponent sets a rule your deck has to follow for the duel and a lot of people get really tilted by that for some reason. It's very manageable, just be flexible.
I chose it over 1 because I've already beat the first one a couple times and know the meta decks. This one I've barely played as much. Good luck everyone.

If you'd enforced this last thread there'd be only like six games in the nominations...
I think you should CRACK DOWN!

Cave Story (I was tempt for nominating Megaman 7 but this one really catched my attention)

I should probably have been tighter about it before tbh but I didn't want to be a knob.

I'm gonna start skipping any that aren't doing the links from now tho, mostly because these days we've started getting more nominations ::eggmanlaugh

Also currently considering making the poll last a fair few days this time just to see how many votes we end up getting lmao.

Hhm, RGT CCRPG League....
*Jotting that down*

Monster Rancher is easier to play than Digimon World, by Digimon World's evolutions are more earned and less predictable. Everyone could just use the same Disc/Password and get the same kind of monster, although, we could always have everyone pick their favourite Game/Movie/Album ahead of time (hopefully they don't just go to LegendCup or something to look up the master disc list)

Baroque is an interesting, but very complicated game. It's essentially a Mystery Dungeon style Action/RPG in First Person (the PS1/Sega Saturn versions anyway, the PS2/Wii versions are in 3rd Person with an optional 1st Person view). It's one of those games that mandate a walkthrough, since in order to progress you have to accomplish a set of very specific tasks the game doesn't tell you about. Plus, each story beat you reach increases the game's difficulty, so if you don't prepare for it ahead of time you can easily steamroll yourself unknowingly (kind of like Yu-Gi-Oh!: Falsebound Kingdom).
Agreed, it's like nominating DMC 2 for everyone to play ::eggmanlaugh
Yeah, see, you get it (though, Baroque isn't bad, just obtuse).
