Rewatching Berserk (1990)

A few days ago, I wanted to make a thread about breaking down Berserk. My favorite manga. But, I guess it's just boring if I only break down the manga. So... I started rewatching Berserk. The 1990 one c'mon, the 2016 is so shit. In three days I have completed 14 episodes like this shit is so good. I forgot how good it was. It's so sad that we can't get good adaptation like this again, the themes all of it was perfect. I literally cried when guts theme is playing, I'm so attached to the manga, I first watch Berserk when I'm still 11 after that I started reading the manga illegally (I don't have money when I'm 11 bro)



That's all I wanna say, really recommended if you like gore stuff.

The gore is just part of it, it needs to be said. It deals with much deeper themes than just violence: human resilience, trauma, freedom, faith, self determination, friendship, love, fanaticism...

I really liked it but it ended at the worst possible moment and I don't have the attention span to read unless it's JoJo.

I would like to watch it, but sadly it doesn't cover the entire manga, mainly because the manga itself isn't complete.

it was great all the drama and the deepth of the storie
it has so many layer of humanity in it
the art work is top quality
the grain just ad more to the quality

the op and ending is one of the best in anime

to bad the original creator kentaro miura is dead
his old friend kouji mori is going to finnish miuras work
mori and miura did talk about how berserk was going to end
miura did leave alot of notes on how the plot in berserk was going to develop and how it was going to end
and the talk mori did have with miura and the notes he did leave behind is what mori is using as material to continue the berserk manga in order make the ending miura did have in vision for berserk

according to mori miura did want a happy ending to berserk though i have a hard time imagine how berserk one of the most heavy and dark manga is going to have a happy ending
