Retrogamecorp received "love" letter from nintendo

For the views ... FOR THE VIEWS ! LOL
Honestly don't think they need to put a 6 at the end of their username email so heh ~
But yeah I get it ... he was just trying to point out how N's type of emails really are should be read as behind the words they would usually send.

The stupidity of the average Youtuber never ceases to amaze me. How could anyone think those emails are real in any shape or form?

literally who is retrogamecorp?
Youtuber who covers emulation handhelds (channel link). A really good channel if you want to get thorough and detailed reviews on handhelds.

I've been watching him for 2 years now and he's not the type to pull clickbait. The video OP shared is another youtuber btw who is well known for clickbaits.

I honestly like his videos but just like with other youtubers, avoid them when they talk about legal stuffs. Heck, avoid every legal stuffs talk because even if something like this is true, you can do nothing about it.

Christ, this is the fakest nonsense I've seen in a while.
No legal department or company representative of any kind on the planet - let alone one from a multi-billion dollar company like Nintendo - would ever, under any circumstance, write an email like that.

I get that misleading angry people on Youtube for outrage points is an easy way to generate clicks and all, but how a grown man can pull shit like this without shrivelling up in shame is beyond me. Genuinely pathetic.

why they so allergic with emulation
Because it's often used illegally.

I am the devil's advocate but when you advertise emulation you have to make sure it's strictly for recreational purposes and for homebrews.

If you remotely imply that it can run the newest game released (or even a pre-release) while also making a paywall for the latest build you're just asking for troubles (or covering yourself in honey and dancing in front of a sleeping bear).

Now the biggest issue I have is mostly about people overpricing retro games and scalping newer releases so I understand why emulation is much more popular nowadays. There should be something done against scalpers and the retro gaming market has become an investment over having true retro lovers...

i remember reading through some comments on a video and there was a short discussion about nintendo and this sort of thing.
it apparently stems from some cultural thing the japanese have that; i'm not sure how to word it, but it's more or less, if you don't have the thing in question, you'll come back and buy it if it gets released again.
it seems to run off the idea that if a person can get something for free, that they will ever purchase the item in question ever.
i wish i could remember what the video was, i'd leave a link here for people to check out the comments, but this about like a month ago when i saw that.

Interesting. Is this related to the ephemeral nature of art? If something is no longer available then too bad and it's the finite nature of the thing that gave it value.

It's hard to make a proper statistic about it.

yeah. it could be about art, or just wanting to make sure that people pay for stuff properly. i remember reading that games were not allowed to be rented over in japan like they could be over here in america. nintendo tried to sue blockbuster and other companies for do that. they failed, but maybe it's rooted in some business practice that isn't very well known outside of japan.

Mmm...
I'm recalling, when happened about Doug Bowser, being the current president of Nintendo of America.

Later, there was a hacker called Gary Bowser, who is in jail now.

. . .
What in the world if they are family, with the intrigue and suspense behind this, if this were true?
