Retro Yuri Games Master List

It doesn't seem like anybody else has done this, but similar to the Steam Hella Yuri list, would there be any interest if I compiled every game with either potential or explicit Yuri/GL content on the list of platforms available here? I'm currently combing through every PSX game for a crumb of lesbianism. Just wanting to check if I'm alone on my quest. Another big blind spot seems to be PC-98 and PC-FX.

I would be interested for sure, games with those topics were not all that common in older consoles compared to nowadays. On the top of my head the only game I can think of is Dragon Quest IV and only because of the final cutscene if you play with Sofia, the female protagonist.

Possessioner, a PC-98 game that has been pretty much a poster child for amazing art of the time and platform but still doesn't have a fan translation to my knowledge.

It's from the PC-98 game Possessioner - unfortunately I don't think there are any English translations of it currently, but it's a Yuri H RPG. Really gorgeous visuals and soundtrack all around.

Was Princess Minerva a game with women loving women, or just titillation? I wish I knew.

Problem one: there was a PC-98 edition, a PC Engine CD version, and a Super Famicom edition. Only the last of the three has a fan translation. I looked over a two-part blog discussing the PCE game. The writer said it got suggestive. Apparently he couldn't include some screenshots. As for the Super Famicom game, I took a few minutes to watch Davidvinc's video. He said the fan translation included quite a bit of innuendo. I have no idea how much was in the Japanese dialogue, and how much was the team goofing off.

Problem two: this was a multimedia franchise. There's an officially translated Princess Minerva OAV. There was also a manga and a light novel.

I'm more interested in non-VN games with actual gameplay and Yuri elements personally, it's much harder to find lists of these types of games.

Funny you say like that when you're using homura PP. She definitely gay for madoka, especially after the event from REBELLION movie. but since they never kiss or segs, you still call them just friend??

Exactly. For me, physical expression is the summit of a relationship, other than that, is just worship, admire or a very close or deep friendship.

Homura is in love with Madoka, but she is not her girlfriend nor wants to be, so the romantic part is not there. A yuri relationship should entail at least romantic attraction between two girls, which leads to physical contact, regardless of the country's culture towards relationships. The sex part is optional, because sex can exist without love.

I don't think I misunderstood anything from Madoka's universe, but you are free to lecture me if you want :)

I don't think sonohana is retro but....it did come out in the mid 2000s so idk. 90s yuri feels really rare, especially when talking about games. I do believe there's a channel I was subbed to that has pc98 stuff, and it seems there might be a lot if that might check off what you're looking for.
