Retro Server on Plex (FREE INVITES TO ALL ... 50 Slots Available) - Cartoons & More

For all you retro people, I have a Plex server that has nothing BUT retro content. No ads, totally free, personally ran. If you would like to join my "RetroPlex" of 50 years of tv shows, cartoons, specials & movies (live action stuff too), request an invite by just shooting me your e-mail or username if you are already a member. Here's a couple screens. I have almost everything USA cartoon wise from 1950-2000. Everything else is also from those 50 years.

You're new here... more in terms of messaging than joining. You popped in today and are offering something to people in exchange for their emails, which most will likely provide an alt email for. I'm not implying or suggesting that you're up to anything nefarious...

I believe you're just hosting media for people to watch.
However, many people might not see it that way.
To be honest, you should have waited to toss this out until you were more well-known around the forum.

I believe @Zerpina got a point there bro. People are a bit kinda weary of these kind of things, probably because this place has its share of some “unexpected events “. Though I know your intentions are good but the thing is most people here how to put it “been burned” and they’re not just gonna jump in.

Yeah sadly I have been here over a year but mostly just digging aroundin the repos since Spike moved CDR to here. I told him about the Plex awhile back. Just so happened to see a "cartoon" section here & figured I would share in here as well. Yes, it's a retro server. Yes, I have no ill will to do anything against policy.

Trust and believe I HATE having to get people in that way. Let me edit the post & make it sound properly friendly.

I think if you get ahold of one of the Mods, they can edit it for you. I think i could be wrong.

Again, as I said, I wasn't implying anything nefarious, but people on here are wary of a newcomer, regardless of how long they've had an account. just bringing gifts from the get-go, you know. I also understand how Plex works, as do a lot of people here.

It's just that if you were more well-known, that's all. The point I'm getting at is that we just don't know you. It's not that we don't want to, view it from the other users' perspective.

If say @Stingy Perry, Myself, Ect ect were to offer the same thing.. as most everyone here knows Stingy and myself and have interacted with us for nearly a year, and for the most part, they wouldn't question it.

Just give it some time and experience, and they won't question you either.

3-4 years of stuff. Started the OG one in 2020 during Covid-19. Decided to start it back up again & add to it weekly around 2022-2023. This is like RetroPlex v4.0 I think.

It's very cool. Think Netflix, ad-free, 50 years of EVERYTHING TV/MOVIE you can think off. If I don't have it to stream, I take requests too. Movies at the forefront. Just like I have a Telegram page dedicated to 3DS/2DS custom rom injects, I love to share & help get all sorts of stuff.

Plex is just my way of doing it within the retro video medium.

oh no, I getcha. I understand that fully. TBH, I miss the old forums so this is nice to see. At one point, I was like some major uploader to an old MegaUpload forum (aptly titled MegaUploadForum) and was granted the title "King of Cartoons" for a minute. Until forum websites kinda went downhill. Man that was a good run (2009-2013 or so). Mega's demise at the time sucked (Kim.com made a killing regardless what transpired); although they're "alright" now. I pay for Premium DropBox & PixelDrain & they are worth it. Plex is all done in-house using a multi-drive hub with about 40 TB just for movies/shows. Separate 8TB for all my rommy goodness.

But yeah ... I know you meant no ill will (that's Foamy's area - pun intended). I plan on sticking around at least a few times a week to fill requests & the such as I can. And of course ... grab from Da Repo! :-)

(PS) I am no scavenger though & just take take take. Trust me, I will put a dent in the requests. :-)

(PPS) Sometimes, just sometimes; you can show up with free stuff because you are just that kinda fellow. Besides, I don't take if I also can't give/share. I was never built like that. I donated 6.17$ (5$ in Euro) ONLY because there wasn't a more option. Everyone should support retro media. In any fashion.

What is Plex ?

For once, Brave's AI is on spot. This is the easiest way to explain. With a little tag from me under this image.

Basically it's a server one can run (such as me & a plethora of others around the GLOBE) ... it's like Netflix/Paramount+/Hulu/etc. You can stream stuff from people who wish to share. Ad-Free. Pretty cool. For MY specific Plex, it's 50 Years of Retro Nostalgia (TV shows/cartoon/movies/tv one-ff specials, etc).

Oh, did I mention it's free? Just sign up & know somebody who has content to share. We add you to the list (NO WE DO NOT STEAL OR USE ANY OF YOUR DATA, PLEX DOES NOT WORK LIKE THAT) simply by adding your username. It sends you a invite & you watch whatever you want, whenever you want. It's pretty fun. And free. I pay like 6$-7$ a month and everybody wins. Except certain Roku users. Apparently lately, they don't get along. :-/

probably. still waiting for my Level 6 or 7 (you wont get me to type the number six or seven with a dash anymore, damn kids) from my donation. Wanted to donate more. This place deserves it, starting with CDR way back when. Right before EmuPara's demise.

I forgot I linked my shortened Wix page on my profile. Yeah, I have been a PC tech for about 30 years professionally; about 40 if you count the first time I fixed a PC (without knowing a damn thing). Meh. I'm old. LOL. But at lerast I am active in my communities. Sad it took me this long to realize this place has a good structure. So I am here for the long run.
