Very nice. I always wanted to go to a LAN party or something but I've never heard of anything like that even remotely close to me, and the last LAN cafe in my town closed well before I was even conscious enough to go.

The closest memory I have is a few Saturdays over the summer where the local library had a guy come in and run LAN events in one of their upstairs meeting rooms. Kids and teens from the neighbourhood would come and you'd get a 10 or 12 player match of stuff like COD4, Enemy Territory Quake Wars or Unreal 2004 going. Great fun and only a few tantrums.

I hadn't been to one in 20+ years, but then put out a call on FB to see who wanted to join me, now we've got about two dozen of us nerds in just this area.
