I've been away for awhile but I did complete resident evil 2 on nightmare difficulty (hard) on pc in arranged mode months ago with claire, it wasn't as difficult as i thought it would be tbh, just had to play the game in a different way.

I remember my old days playing on PS1. That was my number one Resident Evil and I finished it so many times that I had everything imprinted into my brain. I remember doing the same under 2h but without saving once, all the 4 stories, and I have to admit in the last boss I was kind of afraid of dieing lol. I couldn't do that right now nor I want to spend that amount of time to get to the same level as before, that time has well passed, but I enjoy remembering it like old grandpas :)

P.S: At that time I also used to finish Tofu with just 1 or 2 bites, never could do it clean though lol

Hello, how to begin the game on the other side of the precinct as it was possible almost 30 years ago ( I'm 57), at that time there were four possibilities to start the game, Leon A or B, or Claire A or B, there were at least two discs in the box, don't remember well, thx for the tips

Will check on the internet for my emulator (Duckstation on Android)

My quick Resident Evil 3 review:

This is the last of the original RE trilogy, and I'd say it was a very good closing! One of the best points of the game is the atmosphere, it perfectly makes you fell lost in a intimidating big city at complete chaos, where BOWs are being deployed for research, and you became part of the expirement. The story is simple but very well put, survive the horde and find a way out of this mess of a city, it does not drag on or add uninteresing side stories.
Another plus are the characters. Jill Valentine is still one of the best female main characters OAT, she is an awesome bland of badass and relatable personality. Carlos is a fun guy with a good heart. And of course we have Nemesis, the selling point of the game, he is perfectly done gameplay wise. He will appear at moments you least expect and leave with the choice of running or fighting him, and you have to actually put tought in to it, because if you run you will have ammo for exploring but will have weaker weapons, but if you confront him you will be rewarded by getting weapons that are direct upgrades in trade of using lots of ammo (like an investiment). Nemesis is incredible design wise, him getting burnt and later coming back all fucked up and mutating is very well done.
The weapons in this game fell very good to use, especially the pistol is great at clearing zombies while exploring and the shotgun is incredible at clearing the path from strong enemies and multiple zombies. The upgrades fell even better, with the upgraded pistol sometimes one shotting zombies and the shotgun getting higher DPS.
Now, I talked about the good part of the game, everyone knows about most of that stuff, but there is something that bothered me after finishing the game.
The game is too easy and too short. While you may have a hard time at the beginning, the game starts to get easy after leaving the police station ( a shell of what it used to be in RE2, sadly) and gets too easy when you get to the clock tower, the game throws ammo at you (in powder of course, wich you have to transform into ammo with a annoying mechanic, that lets be honest, you will only be making pistol and shotgun ammo) to a point that it's not even a survival horror anymore. If you want to have an actual hard time here's a challenge: fight nemesis at every opportunity but dont use the weapons he drops. And about the game being short, after getting to the clock tower, you get through places so quickly that when you notice, you are fighting the last boss in minutes.
In conclusion, RE3 Nemesis is a atmosphere driven game with good gameplay, but has it's flaws. I'd still say it's a very good closing because it finishes the raccon city story line and starts another one, the search and fight against BOW organizations.

My favorite pat about RE 3 was Brad Vickers. I was hoping he'd survive in the remake but guess I'm out of luck.

Someone else ask me about that. What is it exactly? I like horror games,I recently play silent Hill origin on psp. Does this worth to play?

Jokes on you, there is no news

They only thing that could get me excited about a new RE game is if they bring back the fixed camera angles. I'm so tired of just playing action shooters with the RE name slapped on them.

I'm hoping for a Resident Evil: Code Veronica remake
I read somewhere that they're doing a CV remake, RE9, and a third RE game. Rumors are saying it's a RE0 remake. Those same rumors said that Capcom had initially considered an RE5 remake as their next remake adventure, but ultimately decided CV was right for them. Which, if true, totally on board with that.

IMO the only thing RE5 had was co-op--that and big, apeman Chris Redfield, who is now THE version of Chris (and I'm happier for it). Everything else in it was a downgrade from everything that came before it. I'd only take RE5 and 6 remakes if they were complete reimaginings of those games. Given how RE4R turned out, they'd probably play it super straight and change very little, which would not appeal to me in the slightest; at least not for those two games.

RE6 story might not make sense on the whole, but dear god it has some GREAT moments. Me and my girlfriend quote it a lot and do a playthrough once every 2 years or so. It was actually the first game we played together and a big part of me getting "back" into gaming after a few years of instability and homelessness left me without much time for hobbies.

The RE6 combat system though, that might be my favorite 3d combat system ever when you learn to push it to the limit. The melee combat feels like God Hand, the movement feels like Vanquish and the shooting is classic RE4 crowd control. I'd love to see them try something like that again since so many 3d combat games just repeat the same mechanics and controls.
