I was struggling with whether to buy the PS5, but with the games I saw coming out, I can say I was convinced.

My god yes. I am hyped AF for RE9: Requiem now. I fucking love the fact that they're going back to the Racoon City Exclusion Zone and seem to have both T-Virus undead and T-Abyss psychos running around. Also, I never thought I'd see a character from Outbreak get any love. I honestly find the RE: Outbreak games to have the best atmosphere of all the older games in the series (even with the flaws they have) and this is totally hitting that vibe.

They also seem to be making post-Raccoon City Incident America look more dystopian, a place where people are constantly going missing and turning up dead and the government is struggling to keep all the various zombifying diseases, cults and stuff under control. I also have a feeling that the voices in the part of the trailer that showed off post-nukage Raccoon City are various characters from the Outbreak games, like Mark and Yoko

Interesting plot, going back to Raccoon City... and the graphics are seriously impressive. I wonder if this generation is finally gonna take off. Feels a lot like the PS3 era—at first, it was like nothing had really started until devs figured out how to actually make good games.

Hearing someone describe horror games as 'homey and kind' makes my head spin! haha. They are very fun, but they always have my blood pressure high and keep me anxious.

This game will be a hit and miss, like any Biohazard since 5.

The graphics are just fine, but that may work in their favour, as probably they want the game to run 60fps. It's a pity because I consider that framerate awkward since it's a game that looks like a movie, and I would prefer to have it 30fps, like any film I watch.

This saga is becoming more and more a cliche, like a crappy american horror movie, and I don't have big expectations. I had them in the past and they systematically broke any hopes. The only modern Biohazard that I really enjoyed is Revelations and its leveling up system.

On the other hand, Silent Hill F is a new installment that is finally worth it, since Silent Hill 4.

I can't lie though I'm stuck in the past when it comes to RE games, I MUCH prefer the tank controls and fixed cameras. I know it's probably an unpopular opinion and I love the RE2, 3 and 4 Remakes but I do wish Capcom would release some old style RE games.

Huh so it finally got revealed after so much talking about resident evil 9?

Looks like i have some catching up to do I'm 3 games deep into this series.....didn't even recognize it was the RPD until someone in the comments mentioned it yeah looking at the statue that should have been a dead giveaway.

Idk what to say or expect if it's going to be more 7/8 style or something else....apparently some silent hill news dropped well i better off check that out.

I think those days are long gone. All we can do now is rely on indie games. I've mentioned this in another post but I'm waiting for Echoes Of The Living to release personally. Supposed to be out this year with a bit of luck.

Echoes of the Living looks great :). I also like Tormented Souls, despite of being criticized a lot. Post Trauma and Hollow Body seem promising. There are a bunch more, we can continue enjoying :)

Yeah I've played the demo and it was a bit rough but I liked it, it's been taken down from Steam now unfortunately. I wanna play through Alone In The Dark - The New Nightmare on Dreamcast at some point.
