Switch Resident Evil Requiem will also be released for the Nintendo Switch 2 at the end of February

Capcom is announcing Resident Evil Requiem for Nintendo Switch 2 which will launch alongside the other platforms on February 27, 2026. This is revealed in a new trailer shown during the Nintendo Direct presentation. Nintendo Switch 2 gameplay can also be seen there. As expected some graphical compromises had to be made overall the Nintendo version appears to be quite satisfactory. The trailer also contains entirely new information that hadn't been shared publicly before. Check it out here:

Cool I guess, but the exact thing happened when the Wii U launched. It actually got multiplatform ports for PS3/360 games.
With in a year the PS4/Xbox One launch and the third party support dried up.

The switch has similarly met the same fate. It just survived thanks to having a large enough install base to warrant devs making exclusive games/Porting older titles
