Switch Resident Evil Requiem will also be released for the Nintendo Switch 2 at the end of February

Capcom is announcing Resident Evil Requiem for Nintendo Switch 2 which will launch alongside the other platforms on February 27, 2026. This is revealed in a new trailer shown during the Nintendo Direct presentation. Nintendo Switch 2 gameplay can also be seen there. As expected some graphical compromises had to be made overall the Nintendo version appears to be quite satisfactory. Cool I guess, but the exact thing happened when the Wii U launched. It actually got multiplatform ports for PS3/360 games.
With in a year the PS4/Xbox One launch and the third party support dried up.

The switch has similarly met the same fate. It just survived thanks to having a large enough install base to warrant devs making exclusive games/Porting older titles
