Medabots is probably the only childhood show I can still sit through and watch throughout without ever feeling disconnected to it or getting a nagging feeling that I'm slightly too old to be invested in its story and characters (Digimon Tamers is the only other example that comes to mind).

If I had to think of a single word to describe it, it would be "charming" -- it's a really charming show with a lot of comedic value and even surprisingly engaging storylines that I still want to sit through, even though I know them by heart at this point.

Sadly, I think most of you will tell me that you don't remember Medabots at all, and that's because American networks seemed to have had an ongoing game of hot potato with it, tossing it around until you couldn't find it at all. Luckily, Jetix Latin America treated it with a lot more respect, to the point of airing all three seasons on its network.

But is it really worth it? My nostalgia is powerful, but it isn't really a compelling argument... so, I'll just tell you that my nephews always want to watch it whenever I'm babysitting them (and I do mean always).

Here's a pretty great video on the show:

I remember it, though I've never seen the second season of it.
Not surprised.

I think most places didn't even get to the end of the first one before they pulled it from the air.

Most people act surprised when I tell them about the third one.

I did watch all of the first season though. Looking at some anime sites, I don't see a third season of Medabots listed.

It's this one:

Here, it aired as Medabots S3. Others have it as an entirely different series.
Yeah, Medabot Spirits, but I see it listed as Medabots 2 though:

I sure do and I also am aware that some NFT grifters recently tried to use the Medabots name to peddle one of their scams.

Yeah, the "FOX Kids" block was tossed around wily-nilly for a few years and ended up as Jetix/Toon Disney in a lot of places. I remember the show starting on the Sat AM "Kids WB" block and then vanishing, lol.

I might try and give it a shot. By the time it was on I was already on the way out of the Pokemon-mania that took over the world and that style of show just didn't do it for me.

On that note; the Season one is up on Tubi for free for anyone interested.

A good friend of mine named Imaishi did the animation for episode 14. He would later go on to create Trigger. He's getting old like me now but every once in a while they pull him out of his goon cave to crank out another masterpiece.
