I know that this is a vastly disliked show, but I feel that a lot of it is unwarranted & the result of its weird inclusion on the Digimon movie (which also happened to be most people's first and only exposure to it).

I personally think it's great and I had a lot of fun watching it with my siblings while we wolfed down our breakfast day in and day out.

I literally could write a whole book about it, but this (excellent) video by Billiam does it much better justice than I ever could:

What about you, though? Did you watch this show way back when? Did you like it? Hate it? Sat right on the fence? Tell us!

For the longest time, I believed that show was a fever dream I had, I only remember watching it once as a kid before the channel it was on was removed.

Thought it was really weird, until I saw youtube videos talking about it, I just went: "It was real!?"

Was it Fox Kids by any chance?

Yes, and we didn't get Jetix until years later, and by that time I think the show was already cancelled.
It was SO weird for us: we had Fox Kids running until noon one day, then it was replaced by Jetix by the time we came back from school that same day.

None of the programming matched (obviously) and was just kind of chaotic, but this was classic Cablevisión (our cable provider) and they still pull shit like that to this day. Haven't really forgiven them from pulling Televisa without warning and replacing it with nothing or for pulling Nickelodeon in the late 90s and not getting back til 2002.

Yes this happened to me as well, we didn't get Nick back until 2005 or something, we also had Cartoon Network removed for like 2 years as well. It sucked.

I never liked the show on it's own but I have that warm nostalgic feeling seeing it just because of the Digimon movie. What a mess that whole thing was and I still love it.

I associate shows like Angela Anaconda with Sunday mornings before church. They were the kind of things you watched when there wasn’t anything else to do, or when there wasn’t enough time to watch, play, or read something else. I didn’t care much about the continuity; it wasn’t about that. I’m not saying it was good or bad, but it was enjoyable.
Like flipping through Condorito while on the toilet or playing Tetris in the backseat during a family trip.

Correct, I dont even know if the show was ever aired in italy!

[...]

Huh, it did, I couldve sworn it didnt-It aired for the first time in 2006????
So the digimon movie Was the first and only time it was ever in this country and then way way later in 06 it got a proper release. Aint that weird?!

It wasnt even on fox news/jetix despite it having an ita branch; it was on the national channel Italia 1??

Kinda reminds me of Urikupen Kyjuotai (1974) airing in Germany for the first time in 2006.

Not everyone, of course 😎

I always got this show confused with Life With Loopy, which aired on Nickelodeon around the same time as part of the Kablam! show. I was a little too old for cartoons and so-called "Kid's Shows" at that point, but I loved flipping though the channels and looking for weirdass animation. The originality and out-of-joint movement of both shows really caught my eye.

I only vaguely remember one episode of Angela Anaconda. I believe she had a crush on a boy in her class, and made him a Valentine card using macaroni? Stuff went down during the episode, and by the end, she had him cornered. "Do you like macaroni? Good, because you are going to EAT. THIS. CARD." Or something like that. It has been damn near thirty years...

Never knew about the Digimon thing! What in the world. I guess they were both part of the same production company? Odd choice for a crossover there, guys >_>

Also, is it vastly disliked?? I don't know of anyone else in my life who's even heard of the show in the first place 😅

With jp cartoons I kinda expect it, lots of stuff came out 3-10 years later, but anglo stuff? That was usually 1 year-ish

I wonder what happened there

Off topic: panty and stockin with garterbelt never got released here, but season 2 did.
So its on amazon prime ita but only s2 has a dub.
It Was amusing seeing mainstrem sites make a big hubba about P&S season 2 when most of its readers (the type that never used a streaming site and only know netflix and crunchyroll) dont know what that is

It was weirdly always on here in Canada on Teletoon, but I never heard any of my friends talk about it and I think I probably only watched a few episodes here and there. It was a weird show man. Canadian shows are weird.

This with Football with Juan Carlos and the other shorts makes me remember how weird Fox Kids was back then

Cool, but weird indeed (i still miss it)

UEI've never watched this cartoon; I only know it from YouTube, and the episodes in Brazilian Portuguese are lost, it's become Lost Media. Is it worth it for me to get to know?

I never saw it, I got to know it via a Dross video (if you know you know) talking about the shows with worst animation ever.
I dunno, the artstyle looks cursed af but I find it kinda charming on its own way.

Ele eraIt was similar to my situation; I only know this cartoon, and I was looking for the Fox Kids opening to get acquainted with it. I love TV channels that no longer exist here in Brazil; the episodes are missing. They turned it into a Lost-style media outlet, but there are only a few episodes available.

Never heard of that one before.
It's a relatively obscure cartoon I've seen like one or two episodes. It's the adventure of two characters in a pile of magazines, they're jumping from one to another and hope to get back to the real world.

UMBrazilian dubbing is also lost.
I didn't know it was aired in SA but sad that they've lost that dub...

E Brazil is not located in South Africa; it is located in South America.

My bad but by SA I meant South America (in opposition to NA being North America). Sorry for the confusion.
