Remakes\Enhanced Ports you'd actually want

How does someone disagreeing validate your opinion?
Oh, really

Well unless that person was being sarcastic, I feel exactly the same; that the false mock accent breaks the immersion by trying to sound too fantastical and british. There is no Britain in Ivalice.

Killer 7

But hear me out!

Killer 7, without any changes in graphics, gameplay, resolution, quality of life improvements or even engine.
Instead, I would like a Killer 7 'remake' that restores all the cut content and implements more of its design documents and stuff from Hand in Killer 7.
Any type of graphics overhaul would take away from its style, presentation and aesthetics. Modern realistic graphics would just make it less unique. The gameplay may have been kind of a slog, but it's a singular experience regardless, and I wouldn't change a thing.

So, you're not looking for not so much a "Remake" or "Remaster," but rather a "Director's Cut"..

In this case, and from what I've read, more than half of Killer 7 was scrapped. So I figured if it ever got 'restored', it would constitute an almost entirely new game, but I guess you're right.
I mean, I know it's unrealistic for that to happen in the exact manner I described, but it would be cool as heck! I hope Suda51 reads my post and gets crackin'! ::flexing

Threads of Fate

But a massive overhaul. Think of the PS1 original like Zelda Wind Waker, and the remake I want like Twilight Princess. I know the Mana-esque graphics are part of the originals charm, but I would like a remake to look more like Final Fantasy 15 in the graphics department.

When will Crystal dynamics/Atari remake my beloved Telstar?

They have remade almost everything else

I would love to see Legend of Valkyrie remake in the visual style of the Link to the Past remake.

wait, there is LTTP remake? Pls do share more, where can I find such a thing?

They might be talking about A Link Between Worlds, unless... ?? (now I gotta know if a fan remake exists lol)

Edit- All I could find was this (but it's not an actual game)

I'd like a Dark Souls 1 remake/reboot.
(And I mean an actual one, made in-house, not like that mess Bluepoint did to DeS)

Just came to see where we were at, but you know what:

F the remakes how about making a complete, non-buggy, not microtransactioned to death new game IP? Anyone....

I think you're onto something there

Instead of  remaking these old games everyone loves and putting little QoL in and taking out all the funny typoes everyone loves

How about taking old games that never got released in America like Chaos Seed and remaking that
They did it with Live-A-Live, a game with far less variety and not nearly as interesting mechanically. How about Energy Breaker?

or here's the thing I'd like to see:
Take some old ass game that had potential but lacked the programming skill to make it as good as it could have been, reworking the code, and making them good games? There's literal thousands of games like this, that with just a little extra programming or by rewriting the programming from the ground up, could serve to breathe new life into all this wasted potential.

Can't think of one to save my life, go fucking figure. 🙄

Blood Omen/ 2
DMC 2
Chaos Legion
Cold Fear
Blood will Tell/Dororo
Wild-9

And probly a few I forgot.
Especially Wild-9 would clearly need a remake overall . This game hay still so much potential amd the Soundtrack is a brutal banger .

YES YOU GOT IT!!! I know what we all need... Deadly Towers NES HD remake

Shiryou Sensen: War of the Dead (both games would be cool.) It’s a horror action JRPG and a part of jrpg history imo. Badass protag and really cool monster designs and music, a port would be cool but a remake that sticks to the original art style would go a longer way.

EXACTLY!
YES, EXACTLY THIS KIND OF GAME

RIGHT HERE

That's what the fuck I'm talking about. I feel like I just got done having sex.
I'm too old for this shit. I'm going back to sleep.

Chaos Legion
Honestly, I got DMC5 and Bayonetta 3 for that, so I am okay. I can see why, but that's probably never happening, because it's based off of a light novel series, and Capcom does not own it.

I wouldn't mind that either, but I got Bulletstorm.

Comix Zone
and Vectorman can use a good reboot/remake/re-imagining. More so Comix Zone.
Demolish Fist
could use a remake, because the better versions of that game are Double Dragon Revive and Rushing Beat X.

I wouldn't mind a remake of Bujingai: The Forsaken City, but it has GACKT as the literal main character, so good luck seeing that again. Good thing Lost Soul Aside exists.

Especially Wild-9 would clearly need a remake overall . This game hay still so much potential amd the Soundtrack is a brutal banger .
One of the songs in the game, is reused from the final level (Buttville - The Descent) of Earthworm Jim CD/PC version.

Whoever would do it would probably add extraneous stuff that doesn't have anything to do with the original to capture a bigger audience and do the original dirty.
You don't look hard enough. There are great remakes out there which either compliment the originals, or outright makes them look like shit by comparison. Blind cynicism or optimism will always be a person's worst enemy. Cynicism in your case. View a gaming world unclouded by hate and self-defeatism.

Weird synergy. Did you just have post-nut clarity with me?

I never saw a remake that eclipsed the original game. The best I've seen was Nier Replicant Ver. 1.2244... that is in general better than the original, but has stuff like a middle story added that while good for a play, becomes rather tedious and hurts the pacing in subsequent playthroughs, and an extra ending that is divisive, plus some other less important stuff.

What game would you like to see have a remake
While I personally like to see the original games as games that better show the original dev team's intentions upon releasing and developing the game, the game that I'd like to see a remake of would be uhhh....

Super Mario Sunshine? Maybe they can try revisiting that game again to make it on par with the other 3D Mario games. the original is still perfect for what it is, but there can be some elements that can be looked at again
