Remake Relief

-Nocturne HD despite the price and the controversial DLC looks way better than PS2 and has voice acting
The best part of Nocturne HD has to be mod support. Being able to fully customize the experience via a mod pack called Quality of Death has been a blessing to me. As for looks, yeah it's all right, but IMO only a secondary reason.

The opposite of Hikari's Thread
Oh wow, didn't know this thread existed lol.

Let's see... I don't play a lot of remakes since the games that I like mostly don't have them, so I'll pick a remaster. The Xenoblade Chronicles DE remaster is really good, updated the graphics and changed the models to fit the new art style, hyped to replay X on the Switch, especially since we're getting a proper ending now.

I think Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles is a really good remake of Rondo of Blood. I still prefer the original game, but it has some really good changes I appreciate.

DXC actually changes the semi-final boss to Annette if you fail to save her and if you do manage to save all the maidens Dracula gets a third phase added to his fight that adds some much needed challenge to that fight.

I think the Dracula fight at the end of RoB is probably the easiest fight in the series, but that's mostly due to it's inclusion as the introduction to SotN.

Metal Max Returns for the Super Famicom is a great remake. It basically adds an extremely useful in-game manual that tells you everything you need to know about the game's items, towns, tanks and such. This is especially useful due to the fact that the game's manual has not been translated (this is sadly the case for basically every old fan-translated rpg ever).
It's probably my favourite snes rpg, I'd love to play the famicom version someday.
