Recommend to me, a good survival horror to play

Song of Horror, I have that sitting unopened on my backlog shelf, might have to give it a go.
I call Song of Horror one of the most beautiful horror games I've played (the other is Bramble The Mountain King, lol). Obviously, it's subjective but I'd give the atmosphere and settings top marks. You could tell that the people who made it were architects, lol. The story is linear, as most video games are, but the enemy AI was designed in a way that each playthrough should have different scares. Except the first one that is scripted to teach the mechanics of that particular episode. There's also perma-death if you choose the harder difficulties and the scares in subsequent episodes should change further, depending on how many characters die. I've been meaning to finish playing it (still on episode 4) but I've been too busy and sidetracked with other things.

Oh, another game I forgot to mention was Curse: The Eye of Isis. Though, I can't honestly call this a survival horror game even though it's listed as one. It was too goofy and dumb for that (you'll know what I mean if you give it a try) but I was fond of it because it was so goofy and dumb. The combat was terrible, though. It was reminiscent of Witcher 1's combat but with guns.

Yup, gonna have to crack Song of Horror open now lol I remember playing Curse before, I think I own it on GOG or perhaps it was the XBOX, but it was really bad lol

Alisa is a good throwback to the ps1 era of survival horror

you can play it as you like be avoiding the enemies of going allout on them (which i did) you can go either melee or ranged.
It has a dress system which give u stats and the enemies drops currency ala dinocrisis 2 so u can keep on fighting, really a great game.

Haha, yeah, Curse was definitely one of those games that can't be recommended to others because it's more in the category of "so bad it's actually kind of fun". Well, aside from the combat.

Hope you like Song of Horror, though!

The Fatal Frames or Parasite Eves.

I can't stress enough how the OG Fatal Frames are one of the GOAT games out there, even outside of the horror genre. Maybe it being horror is what keeps it from ever achieving that status.

I think I've read all the posts, either I missed it or it wasn't mentioned, anyway I'll do it, a very unique survival horror that deserves to be rediscovered.

Condemned: Criminal Origins

available on Steam https://store.steampowered.com/app/4720/Condemned_Criminal_Origins/
and Xbox 360 console exclusive.

The Steam version unfortunately needs some tinkering to be played at its best, but instructions are available on the dedicated page and on PCGaming Wiki.

A short-lived experience with great atmosphere, a brutal combat system, and especially the artificial intelligence of enemies (damn junkies!) that will probably surprise with unexpectedly clever actions.

The sequel, released on X360 and PS3 didn't excite me as much as the first, but it's still worth a try, not least because it can be found cheaply on ebay.

actually finished that one back in the day, but sadly never got through the second one.

+1 to the Alisa recommendation
also this

As the title states, but no RE, I have played them all ( though still currently on my RE4VR playthrough).
I like the ones with action over stealth, like the RE series. Go.. and thanks in advance
Would World of Horror, Baroque and Shadow Hearts count?

Nightmare Creatures II is kind of overlooked. It doesn't have the best gameplay but the setting and art direction are great. Some people call it "low-poly Bloodborne."

Chaos Break also doesn't get its due. It's more action-oriented (in fact it's a reconfiguration of an arcade game), but the shooting is pretty fun. Reminds me a bit of Dino Crisis 2.

Deep Fear on the Saturn was SEGA's attempt to do their own Resident Evil. Most people hate all the backtracking but the "underwater base" setting is really interesting.

Only horror game I've ever played is "Darkest Dungeon 2", I'm not sure if it's survival in the classic sense (you have to guide your carriage on a roguelite road filled with battles and unpredictable events who may or may not hurt you and your vehicle, when you die you only keep candles to improve your quality for the next journey) but I found it good, attractive in a way where horror attracts you and not so scary after all::omgdoom
Still, I don't see myself playing RE or Silent Hill, but I would like to play the first Darkest Dungeon.
