Recommend retro games for me that are relaxing

I'm not too big on farming or relationship games, but I love Stardew Valley and find playing it and some Zaza very relaxing

Side note: have you tried using cheats? Often times I will play NES and SNES era RPGs with infinite health on, so that way I can enjoy the story and not have to worry so much about battles.

that kicks the door wide open for SNES RPGs. :D

I will never be cheating in RPG, is it good? I mean I want to cheat I never used

I will never cheat in a game unless I have beaten it first, but it can be good for a second playthough where you just want to play through the story again, or look for things you may have missed on the first play through. It can be a lot like New Game +.

Thanks for the tip

I just want to thank everyone who sent me some games I've already picked up and I'm still going to pick up more.

All of the sequels to Mario vs Donkey Kong that feature the mini Marios. Simple stylus based, puzzle solving gameplay.

The DodoGo! series - Lemmings-like puzzle games

Viva Pinata Pocket Paradise - No game does relaxing like a Viva Pinata game

Super Mario Bros. 2

Wild West C.O.W. Boys of Moo Mesa - The much better and much less frustrating version of Sunset Riders

The Lost Vikings games - Simple puzzle games with a lot of charm

Spyro the Dragon trilogy

Blackthorne - Easy to play cinematic platformer

NBA Jam Tournament Edition - Arcady sports game

X-Men vs Street Fighter - Super easy to pick up and play 2d fighter

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater

SSX Tricky

Unless you find the puzzles too difficult, any classic Lucasart, point and click adventure like the Curse of Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, or the Sam and Max games will easily put you in a good mood.

Any mainline Ratchet and Clank game- They are all super easy and incredibly fun

The Sly Cooper series - A little tougher than your average Ratchet and Clank game but still largely simple and relaxing

Puppeteer - Is PS3 retro yet? This game is guaranteed to make you smile

The Tecmo Deception series - Once you get the hang of it, the gameplay is pretty simple. Use traps to defeat your enemies

Rez

Bust a Groove

Ico

Super Castlevania IV - Possibly the easiest Castlevania game ever made. The soundtrack is God tier.

Castlevania Symphony of the NIght - Another one of the lower tier difficulty Castlevania games and a masterpiece

Three Dirty Dwarves - Unique and funny game that is far less demanding than a lot of other beat 'em ups.

Tomb Raider - Pretty simple game if you don't mind old school tank controls. I use to find old school TR games very relaxing. I don't like the modern ones.

To me, most Japanese old school Japanese RPGs are stress free experiences...except for those Shin Megami Tensei games. I'd recommend:

Final Fantasy 6 (FF 3 in the US)

Final Fantasy 7

Final Fantasy 10

Chrono Trigger

Grandia

South Park Stick of Truth - Again, I don't know if PS3/360 falls under retro yet, but this is super accessible and hilarious too

I’d recommend the Civ games. It can take a bit to understand everything but once you do it’s a very addictive and relaxing experience, at least for me. I like to choose the normal difficulties and cruise through even if I’m technically ready for the harder modes. I mainly play Civ 6 but I’m sure the older Civs would do just fine.
