as the title said, im currently collecting some PSX games for long play session (around 4-6 hours) and i kinda confused on what to pick.

I know it just had a rerelease on PC recently but both Tomba games are pretty cool. ::winkfelix

I highly recommend Silent Hill. Aside from Vagrant Story and a few others it's one of those games that pushed the PS1 to the absolute limit. I have played through this game many times but I always wish I could play it for the first time again.

Abe's Oddysee
Abe's Exxodus
Tekken 3
Metal Gear Solid
Final Fantasy VII (7)
Final Fantasy IX (9)
Legend of Dragoon
Parasite Eve
(any Squaresoft RPG really)
Resident Evil 1, 2, and 3 (But especially 2)
Silent Hill
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit
Gran Turismo 2
Collin McRae Rally
Jet Moto 2 (I believe the "Champion" edition, or greatest hits version is a slight upgrade in performance)
NFL Blitz (best football game ever, and I don't even like sports games)
Bust-a-Move 2 (or '99)
Street Fighter Alpha 3
---
If you like weird FMV type games:
Fox Hunt (kind of expensive but cool imo)
D
---
One I love and is SUPER cheap:

Board Game Top Shop

it's kind of like Monopoly but different.
---

Also I think that Demo Disks are cool to collect, and they also can serve the same purpose they used to: To let you try out some games. I'll bet they're super cheap and readily available.

---

Here's 2 more games that I like a lot but might not be for everyone, also cheap:

-Fisherman's Bait: A Bass Challenge
(This is not a normal fishing game. It's a port of a Konami Arcade game about fishing. The only other arcade fishing game kind of like it is SEGA Bass Fishing, which is also very good. BTW I tried this as a kid on a demo disk and played it all the time. I thought I would love fishing games after that but everything else I tried was no fun. This one is fun)

- Caesar's Palace 2000
(Casino Game)

I'm going to hit you with random banger since you don't specify what kind of games you wants.

Thread of Fate (Dewprism in JP) is RPG where you can choose Rue for serious tone in story with his main gameplay being able to morph into enemies, or play as Mint for more whimsical story of the same thread of fate with Rue using the power of magical ring that could fire a shotgun or M249 (not real).

Baroque ~Yuganda Mousou~ (Baroque ~Distorted Delusion~) is a roguelite dungeon crawler with gameplay more similar to King's Field with a twist. The twist is, your VT/HP constantly degenerating, most attack is hard to dodge, and the lore is full of delusional people trying to survive the harsh world with glimmer of hope, or rather, a delusion to keep them alive.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (a classic choice), the first Castlevania that adopted the "Metroidvania" style of game

Breath of Fire 3 (I'll always find a way to talk about it lmao), the first Capcom RPG of that franchise on the PS1 (BOF4 is also in PS1)

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, an action-adventure game with like one of the best gameplays and voice acting of all time (imo)

Strider 2, a port of a very good arcade game (yes, it's from the franchise where Strider Hiryu from MvC comes from)

Dragon Valor, a pseudo Beat-em-up and like Action RPG that's honestly pretty fun that has multiple routes and different protagonists

And the MegaMan games on PS1, of course (mostly X4 and 8)

I recommend:

Steel Harbinger
Linda 3 Again
Echo Night 2
Martian Gothic
Pandemonium 2
Kula Wolrd
Xenia Warrior Princess
Skullmonkeys
Jackie Chan Suntmaster
Disney's Hercules
Breath of Fire IV - Uncensored Version
The Fifth Element
Dreams to reality
Disruptor
Rock and Roll Racing 2 - Red Asphalt
Die Hard Trilogy
Alien Trilogy
Apocalypse - Starring Bruce Willis
Bloody Roar 2
Men in Black

I was just playing the PopoloCrois games myself. They're JRPG games with a light-hearted tone and a grid-based battle system. They only came out in Japan but they're been stranlated a few years back and the translations are pretty decent.

Spin Jam
also
I.Q - Intelligent Cube
and than the frequently mentioned and my all time favorites
Parasite EVE
and
Suikoden

While the PC versions are better graphically, these are still good games.
Worms Armageddon: 2D, side view, physics based artillery combat.
Myst: First person point and click exploration full of logic puzzles.
Riven: Myst on steroids.

you do realize Baroque has mad spin-offs this year.

I love Powerslave, then again i'm a real sucker for anything Egyptian themed.

Panzer Bandit - it's Guardian Heroes for Playstation. There are no rpg elements, but the game is still awesome and has an indepth combo system.
