I remember watching some of this when it first came out and never finished it. I also tried again as an adult and stopped somewhere on season 2. Recently I went back and watched through the whole thing and really enjoyed it. I thought the character development was really nice over the series, and while it is still a kids show, I felt that it respected the audiences intelligence, which is one of my big pet peeves of children's action shows.
I also thought the attention to detail of the different bending styles was nice. Water benders used more flowing, fluid movements. Rock benders would use more angled movements with hard stops with wide square stances. Fire benders would be more aggressive using forward punches and kicks to launch fire. Air benders would use more jumping, sweeping, and circular movements.
I know people say this is the best animated childrens show of all time, and now I see why. What are other people's thoughts on this? Does anyone not like it, and why?
