Recent gaming pickups thread

An question of me: the Xbox Live of 360 is still working or it's ended in order to gave atention of One's and Series's?

the login and stuff still works but AFAIK the 360 store is already closed down and you'll find many of the online services severly limited. Some of the biggest games are still playable online, but anything too small or obscure is either dead due to servers or got like 2 players in-game.

I got even better luck last weekend. I found Pokemon SoulSilver and Pokemon White in a charity shop along with Monster Hunter 3 and 4 Ultimate in the same shop and Dragonquest IX and Xenoblade Chronicles both DS games and Wipeout 2048 and I paid £17 for the whole lot.

Couldn’t believe my luck last weekend.

Very nice. I bought a bundle with an almost pristine console, controller and a bunch of fairly decent games for not much more from a colleague at work. There's not many gamers there but when they do pop up they always have nice stuff.

I ended up paying almost $60 for mine and that was just over this summer but I also had to buy a battery & battery cover online but all of it was worth it. I didn't waste time in jailbreaking it.

I would say, as an honest recommendation, that jail breaking it is a fantastic option! The hardest part is finding time to do so, since it will take a little while, but doing so allows for you to add things even beyond just games, such as “holdplus” which lets the system be an even better little MP3 player. Not to mention, I consider the PSP to have some of the strongest selections of themes, both custom and non-custom, that I’ve ever seen.

I respect keeping it stock, but the quality of life I got from my modded one FAR outstripped even my modded 3DS. Something to consider, I guess!

(Also, I wish the system’s battery situation was less frustrating. Aftermarket ones, which I got suckered into buying, last no time at all. An OEM one is the way to go, but I did have an OEM battery die on me earlier this year. Possibly just bad luck, but it’s something to think about. At least it’s easier to replace the battery on the PSP than it is on the Vita )

Won some games at auction again and picked up locally. Always wanted Viewtiful Joe & Psychonauts and Jackass I bought just because. All for relatively cheaper than what they sell for elsewhere. And the PSP games? Decided to go in on them with a good amount of cool games in the bunch. Not a huge fan of reselling tho I plan on selling 30% of them cuz all of them I bought at once in a "lot" and as a collector you know that if you buy a "lot", there's a a good chance some of the items in it, you don't want. Comes with the territory.
